Hello and welcome to this 10-minute meditation on loving kindness.
In a world where negative news cycles are so prevalent,
We take these 10 minutes and focus on generating compassion and finding peace within.
Take a comfortable position,
Sitting on a chair or on the ground.
Hands can be resting on the knees or any other comfortable posture,
With the eyes closed and the back straight.
Taking a couple of deep inhalations and exhalations.
Letting the thoughts subside.
Or noticing the thoughts and just being.
Coming to the present moment.
Focusing on the now.
Watching the breath coming in and the breath going out.
Letting the mind drop.
And let divine consciousness fill yourself up.
Disassociating from your thoughts.
Disassociating from this body.
And tapping into the universal consciousness.
You are not this body,
You are not this mind.
Expanding from the heart center.
Generating compassion,
Goodwill for one and all.
Friends,
Family,
People we know,
People we don't know,
Animals,
Creatures,
Rocks,
Stones,
Pebbles,
Trees,
Oceans,
Mountains.
Being at one with our true nature,
Which is compassion and peace.
And reminding yourself,
You're not this petty body-mind complex.
But you are the vast ocean.
At the same time,
Respecting the body-mind complex and letting it do what it has to do in the world.
For these 10 minutes,
Completely disassociating.
Vibrating in the field of compassion.
May all be happy,
May all be joyous.
May all be peaceful.
Having this prayer,
God is with one and all.
In fact,
God alone is,
Call it God,
Call it consciousness,
Call it divine awareness,
Call it chaitanyam.
Resting in that ocean of peace.
Being that ocean of peace.
Taking a few deep breaths,
Deep inhalations and exhalations.
And whenever you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
