Hello and welcome to this short body scan to drop your awareness inwards and feel a little more grounded and centered.
You can do this practice seated or laying down or even standing up wherever you are most comfortable and settled right now.
Once you're settled in,
Close down your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Through your mouth,
Let it go.
Clearing out,
Again like that,
Big breath in.
Sigh it out.
One more time,
Deepest breath yet,
Inhale.
And just let it go.
Now seal your lips and allow your breath to move naturally in and out through your nose.
Drop your awareness down into your body and start by noticing the weight of your body.
Checking in with that gentle pull of gravity towards the center of the earth.
And then notice your right foot.
Notice your left foot.
Bring your awareness now to your right hand.
To your left hand.
Notice now your tailbone.
Sense your whole spine.
And sensing the top of your head.
Like a wave of warm oil.
Wash your awareness down from the top of your head.
All the way down across your body.
Across your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your torso,
Arms,
And legs.
And a few times,
Allow your awareness to wash downward from the crown of your head all the way to the soles of your feet.
And then the next time you reach your feet,
Remain with awareness at your feet.
And now along with your feet,
Sense your lower legs.
Expand awareness now to take in your knees and your thighs.
Expanding further to take in your pelvis.
So now holding your whole lower body in your awareness.
Sense the weight of your lower body.
Now along with your lower body,
Welcome also your abdomen and your lower back.
Your chest and your upper back.
Your hands and arms.
And finally,
Your neck.
And head.
Holding now your whole body and your awareness.
And as you sense your whole body,
Once again,
Check in with the weight of your body.
Allowing that gentle pull of gravity.
To bring some softening.
Take one deep breath in.
And sigh it out.
When you're ready,
You can gently blink open your eyes.
Have a fabulous rest of your day.
