John Angelori

John Angelori is a meditation teacher and language coach originally from New York. In 1990, he came to Italy as an anagarika to help establish Santacittarama Buddhist Monastery, one of the first Theravāda Buddhist monasteries in the country inspired by the Thai Forest Tradition. His teaching style is simple, grounded, and intuitive, deeply influenced by his years of training with Ajahn Sumedho. He is a certified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and Viniyoga teacher, and his approach has also been shaped by teachers including Bhante Gunaratana, Bhikkhu Analayo, and Joseph Goldstein. John integrates the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, mindfulness of breathing, body scans, gentle movement, and everyday awareness practices into his teaching. He works with individuals and groups in both English and Italian, offering practical mindfulness training for daily life, well-being, and inner balance.
