Planting Gardens

Joe wrote this song during a very challenging mental and emotional period in his life. He was living in Chicago and was trying to "make it" as a musician. He was suffering from depression and anxiety and found help through prayer, singing, and by connecting with his Catholic and Native roots. He was given a challenge by songwriter Sue Demel to write a song about love, and this is what came out. It has helped him on his spiritual path ever since. It is a prayer song, an offering, and indeed, a love song.
