Joe was inspired to write this song while on a personal retreat at the Still Point Zen Buddhist Temple in Detroit. He had been reading the book "Living Buddha Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh and was moved by his quotation of the Bible verse "Be still and know that I am God" to help show how Buddhist and Christian practices inter-are. He uses this song as part of guided relaxation and to encourage himself and others who are on the spiritual path of transformation and healing.
