Self massage.
Massage is a wonderful treat and feels great anytime.
I'm going to teach you some techniques that I invite you to modify as you wish,
Making them most appealing to you.
You may want to lubricate your skin with your favorite oil or lotion.
You may choose to use a gentle touch or vary the firmness as you desire.
Let's begin by massaging our neck and shoulders.
Reach your fingertips behind your shoulders.
Press firmly but gently and pull forward.
Repeat several times,
Moving your hands and pulling in varying directions.
Move your fingers up your neck and continue pressing and pulling.
Now let your fingertips rest in the groove where your head meets your neck.
Massage in gentle circles.
Switch to using your knuckles to knead the neck muscles.
Knee gently and now pull down the side of your neck.
Now let's move to our shoulders by reaching across and gently kneading the shoulder and moving down your arm.
Squeeze back up your arm and then slide down your arm several times.
Repeat with the other hand,
Reaching across and gently kneading the shoulder and moving down your arm.
Squeeze back up your arm and then slide down your arm several times.
With your left thumb,
Rub your right wrist and palm using a circular motion.
Move up each finger squeezing firmly,
Increasing circulation.
Pull and stretch each finger.
Change sides.
With your right thumb,
Rub your left wrist and palm using a circular motion.
Move up each finger squeezing firmly,
Increasing circulation.
Pull and stretch each finger.
Now rub your palms together creating warmth and cut them over your eyes,
Relaxing the muscles of your face.
Move your fingers out to your temple and massage with your fingertips in a circular motion.
Using the heel of your hand,
Gently press over and above your brow line in an upward and outward motion.
Stroke downward and use your fingertips to massage your cheek and jaw line.
Reach to your ears and press and pull several times.
