Feel into what position your body would feel most relaxed in right now.
And when you're ready,
You can close your eyes or hold a soft gaze.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Surrender to stillness at this moment.
I invite you to welcome in the wisdom of the ocean.
Holding in your mind the rhythm of a wave forming,
Of that energy coming together and then moving towards the shore,
Crashing on the sand.
And then the water that gets pulled back and retreats into the vastness of the sea.
And the unending cycle of that that's going on right now in coastlines around the world.
That's been going on for thousands of years and for thousands of years more.
This kind of cycle,
It also exists inside each one of us in our breath.
Draw your awareness to your inhale,
Your exhale.
Meaning they are like the waves of the ocean.
A cycle within us that repeats itself millions of times from the very first breath we take when we enter this world to our very last breath when we leave.
I invite you to focus first on your exhale.
Imagining your exhale is like the retreat of the ocean wave.
On your next exhale,
Draw it out slowly all the way to the very end.
Imagining this water that is drawn back into a timeless,
Expansive ocean.
And on your next exhale,
Offer up riding on that wave all of your worry,
Your stress,
Whatever is dampening your aliveness right now,
And release it as you let that breath go.
Imagining that that worry that you hold that's now been released is no longer something separate that just you wrestle with in your mind,
But as you exhale with that retreating wave,
It mixes into the vast ocean.
I can hold it all and more.
With each exhale,
Let more and more of the tension in your body go,
Releasing it on each wave back into the sea.
And when you're ready,
You can focus and draw your awareness to your inhale,
Holding in your mind a wave forming and gently coming towards the shore and being received by your body.
Receiving all of the wisdom of the ocean as you breathe in.
Make a wave filling up your body with the strength,
Resilience,
Grace that the ocean offers.
Let trust flow through your entire body as you open yourself up to the depth of calm that the ocean can offer.
And this knowing that you are supported by this earth's support system and its eternity of experience.
As you breathe in,
Breathing in that ocean air,
Breathing in awe of the majestic life force of waves until it fills up every one of yourselves.
Feeling what that calm,
Confidence and strength feels like in your body.
Then come back to the rhythm of your breath.
And on your next inhale,
Breathe in all of that wisdom from the ocean and hold it at the top.
Taking a moment to offer deep gratitude and reverence to the life force that exists within you,
To the breath that feeds it,
And to the ocean itself.
And then release,
Letting it all go.
Only our time together to be in service to love,
To the oceans,
And to a world where all beings can thrive.
