Welcome my friend,

My name is Jeremiah and this meditation is a space to gently release the day and allow yourself to rest.

There is nothing you need to solve here,

Nothing you need to finish.

If you fall asleep during this practice,

That is more than okay.

Find a comfortable position,

Allow your body to be supported,

And begin to soften.

Begin by noticing that you are being held,

By the floor,

By the bed,

By the quiet of the night.

Let the breath slow on its own,

No effort,

No direction,

Just a natural rhythm of letting go.

Bring your awareness gently to the top of the head.

Imagine the thoughts of the day loosening their grip,

Like leaves drifting from a tree.

Allow the forehead to soften,

The eyes to rest,

The jaw to release.

Let the shoulders drop,

As if you are setting something heavy down.

Feel the arms grow warm and relaxed,

The hands open,

The fingers soften.

Now bring awareness to the center of the chest.

If the day carried emotion,

Tension,

Or unfinished moments,

You don't need to revisit them.

Imagine gathering whatever remains and placing it gently aside,

Not ignoring it,

Just trusting it can wait until morning.

Let the breath move into the belly,

Soft,

Unforced.

Allow the lower back to relax,

The hips to feel heavy,

The legs to surrender their effort.

And,

Feel the feet let go completely,

As if they no longer need to take you anywhere.

Now imagine the day slowly dimming,

The sounds growing quieter,

The images fading.

Whatever was done today is complete enough,

And whatever wasn't done no longer needs your attention.

Silently remind yourself,

I am allowed to rest,

I am allowed to stop.

With each exhale,

Sink deeper into stillness.

With each inhale,

Invite ease.

If sleep arrives,

Let it carry you.

If wakefulness remains,

Simply rest in this space of softness.

My friend,

You are safe to let go.

And,

When the night takes you,

Allow yourself to be carried fully into rest.
