Hello,
And welcome to this meditation.
My name is Jeremiah,
And this practice is here to support and relieve depression and anxious thoughts.
And making sure you're in a comfortable position so that you won't be disturbed for the duration of this practice.
Bringing your focus to your breath.
Really paying attention to how your lungs expand and contract when you inhale.
And when you exhale.
Allowing the breath to enter in through the nose as you breathe in.
And allow the breath to escape through the mouth as you breathe out.
Letting your breath flow however it wants to in this moment.
Noticing your jaw.
And if you feel any tension here.
Just notice it.
There's no need to try and change anything.
Now breathe into the sensations in your jaw.
And as you exhale,
Allow it to release a little.
Inhaling again.
And imagine that you were breathing in new life.
And as you exhale,
Let any and all the fears completely fade.
Taking another breath in.
And when you exhale,
Feel yourself let go of any worries.
Notice how relaxed you are,
Becoming in this very present right now moment.
Let another breath come in naturally.
Imagining a bright future.
And as you let the breath go,
Notice how depression eases and fades.
You're welcome to softly close your eyes.
Or allow the eyes to remain open.
Feeling into this gentle wave of relaxation as it sweeps over you,
As you continue to breathe in.
And breathe out.
Allow your breath to flow naturally now.
Letting yourself feel calm and peaceful You deserve this wonderful feeling of serenity.
You are now open to receive new thoughts.
And as you open up even more with each breath.
You take to new and fresh energy.
And just notice how any new ideas begin to present themselves to you.
Bring up feelings of abundance.
As if you have so much that your cup pours over for others to enjoy the abundance you have created.
Imagine that you are energized.
And have this wonderful zest for life.
Even if this is not true within your present self.
Imagine it so vividly and with so much detail that you can.
Seeing yourself full of energy and optimism.
You can imagine it as if you were watching a movie of yourself,
If this helps.
Let's see the colors brightly.
And just watch yourself full of ambition,
Taking steps towards you.
Stay with your breath.
And allow your intentions to remain positive here.
Even if you don't feel positive in this moment.
You can visualize what being joyful is like.
Breathe into this joy you are creating and notice how you are consciously shifting away from any depressed or anxious thoughts right here.
Right now.
Watching them transform into peaceful feelings instead.
By just following your breath.
Breathing deeply and allow your exhale to just completely relax you.
Any thoughts that previously held you back become smaller.
And smaller.
And smaller.
And watch negative thoughts diminish little by little.
As if you're riding away in a car and these negative thoughts are just sitting along the roadside.
Shrinking into the distance in the rearview mirror.
As you ride away with ease.
And as you see them go,
You are free from their grip.
And if any negative thoughts arise.
Drop them off on the side of the road,
By whatever creative means feel most natural for you.
Allow yourself a few moments to just simply be.
Notice and feel the changes from this moment right now.
Notice any difference between how you felt before you began this practice.
Your new thoughts find a new home within your inner being.
Return your focus to your breath for a few moments.
Slow,
Gentle inhales through the nose.
Full and complete exhales through the mouth,
Letting it go.
And in your own time,
Whenever you are ready.
Slowly begin to open your eyes and coming back into your space.
Allow gratitude for yourself for making these steps towards your life.
The one you're worthy of.
The one you are deserving of.
Accept these wonderful changes in this new day.
And take as much time as you need.
And I appreciate you being here with me.
