Ananda Khanda Lotus Meditation for Nourish Your Body,
Nourish Your Life,
Taken from Rasa Maya Yoga.
The Ananda Khanda Lotus is a tiny lotus just below your heart with eight puddles.
Inside of this is a celestial wishing tree called the Kapaltaru.
There's an altar here that holds the deepest wishes of our heart.
Not what we think we want,
But the deep longing of your soul.
When you wish upon this tree and release those wishes,
The wishing tree bestows even more than is desired,
Leading to freedom.
Begin by breathing into your heart.
Allow yourself to feel the longings of your soul.
Let those grow bigger and bigger until they run through your whole body and the tree is absorbed in them.
When the tree is saturated,
A single bird comes in.
It tilts its head to one side and then the other as it listens to you.
Speak to the bird.
Tell it what your heart wants.
If you feel compelled to create an energy exchange or give something up like a bad habit or give something more to yourself like creativity or healing,
Give that to the bird now.
When you feel complete,
Telling the bird what your heart wants.
Kiss it goodbye and let it fly away.
Let it go and forget it.
The bird will carry your wishes to the wishing tree.
Bring your attention back into your body,
Into your breath.
Bring some movement into your limbs and open your eyes.
