Hello everyone,
My name is Jen.
The new moon is an excellent time to set intentions and get clear about short-term goals,
Things that you want to achieve either in this moon cycle or just moving forward through the duration of the season or the end of the year.
Ideally you will have a notebook and a pen or pencil nearby or if you prefer to type,
Have a word document open.
What we're going to do today is a little meditation but this meditation is designed to just allow us to tap into the body's wisdom in order to get clear about intentions we'd like to set on this new moon.
So you can repeat this practice every time there is a new moon and ideally you're thinking of things that you will be able to return to either on a daily or regular basis all the way through until the full moon.
So you can sit with your legs crossed or in a chair with your feet flat on the ground.
Wherever you're at have a nice tall spine and put one hand on the heart placing the other hand on the lower belly below the navel and just begin to breathe here feeling the wave of breath breathing into the chest and breathing a little bit lower into the belly seeing if you can fill that belly all the way up and then let the chest expand and then as you release the breath release from the chest down to the belly allowing your eyes to gently close if they're not already.
I invite you to feel the natural flow and really dive into the sense of flow the sense of ease allowing things to be easy in our lives not having to struggle to achieve everything but rather simply allowing things to happen and so as you continue to feel the flow of breath I'm going to allow our highest self to answer a few questions for us.
So in order to set intentions on this new moon we want to be crystal clear about what best serves us.
So what personally will best serve me during this moon cycle?
Pose the question and if nothing comes it's fine just pose the question and breathe with it for a moment.
In your personal life what will best serve you?
If any answers are coming up just notice where you feel them in the body allow the breath to continue to flow and our next question is what actions will best serve my health in this new moon cycle?
So pose the question what actions will best serve your health in this new moon cycle and see if an answer comes.
Something may be blaringly obvious like resting more or taking a walk midday to de-stress but sometimes the answers are not really coming and if that's the case for you just sit with the breath and tune back into the flow.
So we'll ask a final question what will bring me the most joy in this new moon cycle?

This is a broad question and as answers may surface they may range from making time for yourself to achieving something specific to feeling a certain way.
Now we'll focus back in on the breath feeling into our heart feeling our belly expand and then our chest and releasing allowing the hands to drop and thanking our higher self for the guidance.
We're going to now gently blink our eyes open and find a little movement in the body maybe a little stretch and then we're going to grab our writing utensil and we're going to start to write.
We're going to do this in three categories so following the meditation I'd like you to set one personal intention one health or lifestyle focused intention and then one intention to bring you joy.
So we're going to begin by starting the intention with I am easily finding and then fill in the rest of the intention.
So if a personal intention of mine is to connect with friends more often I would say I am easily finding myself connecting with my friends at least once a week or I am easily finding myself reaching out more to my good friends.
So you can find a way that this works for you really focusing on including that easily because this helps you to continue this idea of flow really allowing these things to come into your life not forcing them not putting additional not putting additional pressures on yourself but just setting the intention with this sense of ease and flow.
So once you have your intention write it three times not overthinking you can always change it later.
I am easily finding myself I am easily finding myself I am easily finding myself and once you've set that intention go to the next page and this is a health or lifestyle intention so we're going to use the same format I am easily finding I'm easily finding myself drinking more water or I'm easily finding myself laughing more often I'm easily finding myself making room for fun whatever it looks like for you writing it three times writing quickly so as not to overthink so for the final category we will focus on what brings us joy so this may be an activity that we've always enjoyed but haven't made time for or it might be spending time with a particular person so tap into that answer the higher self gave and see if you can frame the intention I am easily finding myself so for me I am easily finding myself writing every morning I am easily finding myself meditating every evening I am easily finding myself allowing more room to read or relax whatever brings you joy writing it three times now put your pen down or take a pause from your document and we're just going to reread these three intentions imprinting them on our minds and what I invite you to do after we close our session together here is to add to these intentions as it makes sense and to write them three more times each and you may find that they change shape a little bit when you do and if so that's perfectly okay so let's go ahead and find that nice meditative position again allowing your hands to rest on your knees or your thighs face up in this receptive pose and we're just going to breathe and I invite you to breathe the same way you were before only your hands are not on your belly and heart you still feel the belly expanding the chest expanding and then the release through the heart space and then the belly you still feel this effortlessness this flow allowing the things that serve your higher self to flow into your life harnessing the power of this new moon the opportunity to begin something anew or restart something I just invite you to see yourself fulfilling these three intentions see yourself around the full moon time looking back in awe saying wow that actually came true breathe and focus on this image feeling that flow of oxygen and then gently blink your eyes open beautiful job today so again as you move forward in your day today I invite you to add or refine these attentions however you see fit if you'd like you can buy a notebook that is specifically for new moon and full moon intentions and I invite you to allow the ease and flow trust that what your higher self came up with is in alignment I wish you well I wish you all good things thank you for practicing with me today
