Abba Father,
I come before you with a heart full of gratitude and awe.
Thank you for the cross,
Where mercy triumphed over judgment,
Where love conquered death,
And where Jesus declared,
It is finished.
Because of that victory,
I no longer walk in defeat.
I no longer live under the weight of condemnation.
I am redeemed,
Restored,
And raised to life in Jesus Christ.
Lord Jesus,
You have given me authority,
Not because of who I am,
But because of who you are.
You have clothed me in righteousness,
Crowned me in grace,
And filled me with your spirit.
You have called me to be a light in the darkness,
A vessel of your power,
And an ambassador of your kingdom.
But I confess,
Lord,
That too often I try to do it in my own strength.
I strive,
I worry,
I forget that apart from you I can do nothing.
Forgive me for the times I've leaned on my own understanding,
Instead of trusting in your wisdom.
Forgive me for the moments I've tried to carry burdens you have already bore.
Today,
I lay it all down.
I lay down my pride.
I lay down my fear.
I lay down my need to control.
And I pick up the cross.
I pick up the authority you've given me,
Not to dominate,
But to serve,
Not to boast,
But to bless.
Holy Spirit,
Fill me afresh.
Empower me to walk boldly in the calling you've placed on my life.
Let me speak with the confidence that comes from knowing I am backed by heaven.
Let me love with the compassion that flows from your heart.
Let me move with the courage that comes from knowing the battle is already won.
When I feel weak,
Remind me that your strength is made perfect in my weakness.
When I feel unworthy,
Remind me that I am chosen,
Holy,
And dearly loved.
When I feel overwhelmed,
Remind me that you are my refuge and my fortress.
I declare that I am not a victim.
I am victorious.
I am not abandoned.
I am adopted.
I am not powerless.
I am filled with resurrection power.
Let every step I take be in alignment with your will.
Let every word I speak carry the weight of your truth.
Let every act of obedience echo the authority of heaven.
When the enemy whispers lies,
I will stand firm in the truth of your word.
When the world tries to shake me,
I will anchor myself in your promises.
When my flesh wants to quit,
I will press on by your spirit.
Jesus,
You,
Lord,
Are making a way.
Thank you for the cross.
Thank you for the empty tomb.
Thank you for the authority I now carry,
Not as a burden,
But as a blessing.
I walk forward today,
Not in my own name,
But in the mighty matchless name of Jesus Christ,
My savior,
My king,
My strength.
Amen.
