Welcome to meditation one,
Take a minute.
And with all my meditations,
They will begin and end with a sound of a bell,
Just like this.
And when the meditation is finished,
You hear the sound of the bell,
Just gently and easily bring your awareness back to the room that you're in,
Opening your eyes and having a stretch.
So for this meditation,
It's about just taking a mindful minute,
Just taking a minute to stop and to just be.
I will guide you through it,
But there will be long parts of silence.
So let us begin.
So just closing your eyes,
Making yourself comfortable,
And just focusing at this moment on your breathing and the breath,
The sensations generated by the breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
Perhaps you can feel sensations in your chest or your abdomen.
Perhaps you may feel the breath at the nose and the air feeling and the air feeling cool or warm,
Whatever the sensation is for you,
Just paying attention to how the breath creates different sensations in the body and remembering if your mind wanders or gets distracted,
Just be gentle and kind with yourself and bring your awareness back to the breath and those sensations.
The purpose of meditation is to just be,
To be aware.
And right now,
You're just being aware of the breath and your breathing and the sensations created in your body.
So just enjoy this for a few more moments until the meditation ends.
Just nice and gently open your eyes,
Bring your awareness to where you are and perhaps having a stretch.
And then when you're ready,
Continue with your day.
