For When You Can’t Meditate: A 5-Minute Reset
by Maeve Downey
This is a short meditation you can come to when your mind feels busy, your body feels restless, or you've got the belief that you “just can't meditate". Set to an original track composed by my very talented friend Michael Vrielink, this practice invites you to soften the rules around meditation. Instead of forcing stillness, you’ll be guided to simply listen, feel, and let your body move if it wants to. Gentle breath cues and somatic awareness help you drop into yourself without effort. This is a meditation for the moments when sitting still or being calm feels impossible. When your system wants something simple and spacious. When you want to reconnect with yourself without needing to force your experience into a certain format.
