This gentle awakening morning meditation is to inspire ideas of how you can integrate more moments of intentionality and presence,
Allowing a slower,
Softer pace as you rise,
Bringing in intuitive touch and gentle movements to begin your day.
I hope this meditation supports you to begin your days intentionally,
Forming a supportive practice and adapting as feels right for you each day.
Let's begin.
As you gently stir awake,
The essence of dreams,
Either visual or felt,
Still subtly lying in your field of awareness,
I invite you to take some intentional breaths.
Feel the full quality of your breath.
Feel the expansion of your breath as it moves through you,
Gently awakening different parts of yourself.
Allow the movement of the breath to bring your attention to the weight of your body on the bed.
Become aware of the shape that you are in,
The touch of your skin against sheets and blankets,
The sensation of warmth.
Become aware of any areas within yourself that are drawing your attention,
Any niggles that want to be stretched out,
And gently follow these impulses to stretch,
Contract or expand,
Awakening your body through movement.
If it feels supportive,
You may like to bring in touch,
Running the palms of your hands over your face and tracing over your body to squeeze different parts of yourself,
Gently awake.
Allow your body to respond to the sensation of this touch and allow these impulsive movements to stretch you out further and at your own pace,
Come to a place of gentle rising slowly and intentionally.
Take some breaths here as you sit or stand up and allow your body to guide you with any impulses to brush or shake,
Pat down,
Stretch up,
Stretch out.
Here you are,
Ready to move intentionally into your day.
Go well.
