Just like there is so much to see and interact with in the outside world,
So too my inner world is rich with thoughts,
With feelings,
With perceptions,
With dreams,
With memories.
But how much time do I take to make sure that my inner world is tended and beautiful?
No matter how much time I take,
My inner world will always find a way to reflect itself in my outer world.
If my mind is fresh and simple,
My external environments at work and home will also be simple.
If my mind is cluttered and messy,
My spaces will reflect that.
Dignity means that I take time to care for my inner world,
That I take time to emerge the beauty within and create inner spaces of power and joy and peace.
So I take some time to go inside.
I relax,
Slow down my mind and I turn my attention inward to the world inside of me.
I imagine that it's a series of landscapes and though there may be some areas that are dark or cluttered,
There is also a place of beauty.
I travel inward deeper and deeper,
Past any clutter,
Until I come to a beautiful door.
Behind that door is a space that reflects my highest potential.
I open that door now and I see that space.
It could be a landscape,
A river,
An ocean.
It could be a beautiful room.
But this space reflects the qualities I love the most in myself.
It reflects my dreams.
And just being in this space,
I feel peaceful.
I feel at home.
I feel refreshed and centered.
And this space gives me the feeling of my own pure qualities.
To visit this space daily means to increase my sense of dignity.
It allows me to remember who I am.
It allows me to remember my own potential.
And the most wonderful thing about visiting this inner space is that eventually in time it will reflect in my outer spaces.
And my outer spaces will also become beautiful,
Simple,
Spiritual and powerful.
Dignity means I understand that by taking care of my inner world,
I also take care of my outer world.
