Hello and welcome to this sacred ritual of reconnecting with your inner child.
Unless we were taught to bring our inner child along for the ride,
We've inevitably left our childlike essence behind.
It's really no one's fault.
We leave them behind just by growing up.
So today,
You're going to reconnect with your inner child.
The today you,
The wise,
Caring,
Affectionate,
Kind adult you,
Needs to unconditionally embrace the little child within.
This relationship needs to be repaired with gentleness,
Patience,
Understanding,
Compassion,
And persistence,
And lots of hugs and kisses.
This is the most important relationship you will ever have.
Reconnecting with your inner child is really the key to living a life of curiosity,
Joy,
And unconditional love.
Before we begin,
You might consider gazing at a picture of yourself when you were a child,
Or holding on to an important object from your childhood.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
We're going to start going within by taking a few conscious breaths.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold it for a few seconds,
And exhale all the air out.
Let's do that again.
Take a deep inhale,
Hold,
Exhale slowly,
Breathe in light,
Exhale all the tension from your body.
Breathe in light,
Exhale tension.
Bring your awareness to your heart center.
Meeting your inner child is a very sacred ritual that needs to be grounded in unconditional love.
Breathe light into your heart space,
Exhale all judgments and negativity.
Your inner child needs to feel safe and protected.
Breathe in warm light into your glowing,
Beautiful heart space.
Center yourself there,
And exhale anything that isn't pure love.
Now picture the front of your childhood home.
See what it looked like then.
If you had several homes growing up,
Just pick the one that felt most comfortable.
Notice the color of the house,
What it's made of,
The driveway or sidewalk.
Look around the yard or street in front of it.
Your light beings and angels are with you.
They are here to support and protect you.
You are perfectly safe.
Make your way to the front door.
Notice what the door looks like,
Its color and details.
See the door handle.
Remember what the door handle felt like.
And when you're ready,
Open the door.
As you stand in the doorway,
Look around the room.
Notice the walls and the furniture.
Step into the room.
Notice the floor you're standing on.
Are there any familiar smells?
Find your way through your home to your bedroom door.
See the door in front of you.
Recall the door handle.
Then slowly open the door.
You're now looking into your childhood bedroom.
Notice the position of your bed,
The color of your furniture,
What the floor felt like on your bare feet.
Are there toys or stuffed animals or a specific color?
Take your time.
There is no right or wrong here.
Just be with the space that arises.
And now you notice a child in the room.
You can tell that it's yourself when you are around six years old.
Notice what you look like.
What are you wearing?
What is your hairstyle?
Don't try too hard.
Just allow whatever comes up.
You may be able to see yourself clearly or you may just get a sense of your younger self.
When you're ready,
Say hello to them.
They may be excited to see you or they may be shy or hide under the covers.
Don't force an interaction.
If they don't trust you just yet,
See if you can tune in to how they feel.
What do they need?
What don't the adults in their life understand?
In what ways do they have to show a brave face?
It is your job,
The compassionate,
Gentle,
Wiser,
Unconditionally loving adult,
To give them what they need.
What they didn't get back then.
They might need you to just sit with them or to listen.
They might need a hug or someplace safe to cry or for you to say something that they need to hear,
Whether you are able to wrap your arms around them or if they're still under the covers,
Too shy to come out,
There are some things that they need to know.
Tell them you're sorry that you grew up and left them behind.
Tell them that they're special and wonderful and good.
Tell them that you love them,
That you're proud of them and that you're here for them To keep them safe and comfortable and loved,
They don't have to worry anymore because you're here to handle everything.
Notice how they respond.
Do they have anything to say to you?
Meet everything with love.
Do they have any requests?
How can you show them love right now?
Perhaps it's a hug or a special gift.
It's about time to go.
Tell them how special this time was meeting with them,
Your light beings and angels who never left your side.
Have a gift for your inner child.
They wrap a blanket made of light around your inner child.
This blanket is very special.
It detects when certain comfort is needed and it changes color as it gives love and courage and protection and understanding.
Your inner child feels safe and seen and valued.
Before you leave,
Tell them that you'll be back and that you will visit them more regularly.
It is of the utmost importance that you honor your word.
Create a time like before going to bed when you check in on them.
Be sure to always give them love and understanding.
Make your way to the bedroom doorway.
Say goodbye and close the door.
Your angels paint this door with a special golden paint.
It prevents any lower frequencies from entering the room.
Only love can cross this barrier.
Your inner child will remain safe.
Find your way through the home and out the front door.
Walk down the sidewalk and driveway,
Away from the home.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Focus on your breathing,
Thank your angels and light beings,
And gently open your eyes.
This is the most important relationship you will ever have.
May you move forward,
Nurturing it,
And giving your inner child the love they deserve.
Many blessings on your journey.
