Every moment holds a choice because our mind is going to have a gazillion thoughts in every turn that we take.
So we have to make choice a moment-by-moment practice of always choosing the highest,
The highest thought,
The highest word,
The highest action,
Which can sometimes be non-action,
And allow that to be what builds the framework for whatever we're creating.
We're in a brand new year.
This year happens to also be the beginning point of a brand new cycle.
And so often at the beginning of a new year,
People rush to say,
Okay,
This year I'm going to accomplish this and do this,
And they've been off and running without really stilling first,
Without really contemplating what do I want this year to feel like for me.
I had a teacher once that said,
If you want to see the end of something,
Look at the beginning.
And so if you are the type that rushes out really,
Really fast and doesn't really think about what you're doing,
That's probably what you're going to get at the end.
But if you are the type that says,
You know,
Let me take this short period and be very intentional and really feel into what is it that my heart and soul are calling for?
Where is it that I need to cut things away?
Where is it that I need to be more discerning about my time and my energy?
What are the things I need to say no to for my own health and well-being?
And what are the things that I need to say yes to?
Because they stretch me,
They inspire me,
They tickle me with a type of joy that I've not felt before.
They open me to a level of creativity that I'm ready to experience.
Then you allow yourself to create a framework.
This particular year,
A lot of people have talked about how it is a horse year and how we're to gallop and run out and get stuff done.
And if you really look at a horse,
Horses are very intentional.
They are still,
And when it's time to go,
They go.
The ones that really go right when the gate opens are the ones that are being raced.
They're being pushed.
They're being,
In a sense,
Beaten into submission to perform.
That's not the horse we need to be.
We need to be the one that stands and grazes and then knows when the rider is ready,
That's when we run.
That type of foundation in this first year is going to set up this brand new nine-year cycle.
So really be present to how you're starting,
Whether it is your spiritual practice,
Your personal life,
Your relationships,
Or your business.
I think the most powerful place between fear and that really expansive understanding of where I want to go is the unknown.
We have to leave space for unknown to tell us where we are to go.
In love,
Of love,
With love,
As love.
