In this meditation, you will build protective energetic layers around yourself in your auric field. This meditation helps to increase feelings of safety and peace within our earthly bodies. You do not need any prior meditation experience.

Transcript

We will now begin our protective egg breath meditation.

Come to a comfortable seated position.

You can sit on the floor in a meditative position,

In a chair with your feet flat on the ground,

Or you may even lie down if that is most comfortable and accessible for you.

Let your eyes blink gently closed and begin to observe your breath as it flows in and out of your body.

Focus on the feeling of your breath as it travels from the space outside your body to the space inside your body.

Now begin to control your inhale and your exhale,

Slowing both inhale and exhale down to a pace that you can maintain without strain.

Count how many heartbeats you inhale for and how many heartbeats you breathe out for.

Do your best to make the inhale and exhale even.

Keep breathing like this and settle into your space.

While maintaining this slow and conscious breath,

Breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Continue breathing in this manner throughout the meditation.

Begin to see yourself as the yoke in the center of an egg.

Finding yourself in the space outside of this egg,

There are seven layers.

Breathe in and feel your breath flowing up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and feel your breath flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel your breath rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

As you breathe out,

Feel your breath descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Two more cycles of this breath,

Completely enveloping yourself with this circular breath.

You have completed your first protective layer.

You will continue to feel your breath in an ever-expanding circular motion around your body.

Three cycles for each of the seven layers,

All growing in size to wrap around the layers that came before it.

On every inhale,

Feel yourself bringing in healing,

Cleansing,

And protective energy.

On every exhale,

Feel yourself releasing all tension,

Stress,

And toxic thoughts and emotions from your body.

If you find your mind wandering,

Gently bring your awareness back to the sound of my voice and the count of your heart beating in time with your breath.

You will receive the benefits of this meditation even if you wander away for any amount of time.

Maintain loving compassion for yourself as you return.

Let us begin.

Breathe in and imagine the color yellow,

A bright,

Sunny yellow rising up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and imagine this yellow energy flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel the yellow energy rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

As you breathe out,

Feel the yellow energy descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Breathe in and imagine the color silver,

A shiny metallic silver rising up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and imagine this silver energy flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel silver energy rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

And as you breathe out,

Feel the silver energy descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Take two more cycles of this silver breath layer.

Breathe in and imagine the color red,

Red like a ripe tomato,

Rising up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and imagine this red energy flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel the red energy rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

As you breathe out,

Feel the red energy descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Take two more cycles of this red breath layer.

Breathe in and imagine the color of smoke,

Like a lovely grayish mist,

Rising up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and imagine the smoky energy flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel smoky energy rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

And as you breathe out,

Feel the smoky energy descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Take two more cycles of this smoky breath layer.

Breathe in and imagine the colors of space,

Space as we see it from our home on Earth,

A black vastness spotted with stars,

Planets,

Nebulas and galaxies.

Imagine this rising up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and imagine the space energy flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel the space energy rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

As you breathe out,

Feel the space energy descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Take two more cycles of this space breath layer.

Breathe in and imagine the color gold,

A shimmering,

Glittering,

Warm gold rising up the back of your body from your ankles to the top of your head.

Breathe out and imagine this gold energy flowing down the front of your body and under your feet in a circular motion.

Breathe in and feel the gold energy rising up the right side of your body from your feet to the top of your head.

As you breathe out,

Feel the gold energy descending down the left side of your body and under your feet in another circular motion.

Take two more cycles of this gold breath layer.

Now breathe in and see and feel all of the layers you have built up around you,

Embracing you,

Protecting you.

Take a deep breath in,

Gathering all of the healing and protective energies of each of the layers you have created and breathe out knowing that all is well.

Stay in this moment for a few breaths longer,

Holding the space for yourself,

The space of ease and love and protection.

So you become aware of your breath as it moves in and out of your body.

Your breath as it gathers from the space outside of your body into the space inside your body and back out.

Allow your eyes to blink open.

Take however much time you need to ease out of your meditation.

Your protective egg breath meditation is now complete.
