Find your place lying down on the floor or in your bed.
And let the body arrange itself so you feel supremely comfortable.
Add a blanket if you feel cool.
Or put something under the knees if the lower back needs support.
Let the arms rest by the sides with palms facing up.
Let your eyes close.
And let the day close with it.
This is the practice of non-doing.
There's nothing for you to do here.
And nothing for you to achieve.
For the next little while,
You can let yourself be guided.
Not with effort.
Simply with listening.
So let's begin.
Bring your awareness to the center of the chest.
In the heart space.
We'll begin by setting an intention with a heartfelt desire.
This isn't a goal from the mind.
And it's not what you think you should want.
It's something truer.
That knowing that lives underneath all the transition you're going through now.
What is this transition asking of you?
Not what you should do.
What is it asking you to listen to?
Let whatever arises be here.
It can show up as a word.
A feeling,
Or a sense.
And bring to mind a simple phrase in the present tense.
Something that you can feel and not just think.
Examples of this would be.
.
.
I trust the wisdom of this in-between.
I'm listening for what wants to emerge.
I allow myself to be held while I become.
Choose one of these if that feels right for you,
Or create your own.
Repeat your intention three times.
Feeling it resonate in the heart center.
Now let your awareness move through the body,
Slow and steady.
Bring your attention to the crown of the head.
It's soft and open.
Forehead is smooth.
The eyebrows.
The space between the eyebrows,
Wide and unfurrowed.
Eyes softening back into the sockets.
Cheeks,
Jaw unclenching.
Tongue releasing from the roof of the mouth.
Throat soft and relaxed.
Right collarbone.
Right shoulder blade.
Right upper arm.
Elbow Forearm.
Breath.
Right palm.
Right thumb Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring.
Pinkie back of the right hand.
Wrist,
Elbow Shoulder.
Collarbone center of the throat.
Left Collarbone Left shoulder.
Left upper arm.
Elbow Forearm Rest.
Left palm.
Thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring and pinky.
Back of the left hand.
Left wrist Elbow shoulder.
Left Collarbone center of the throat.
Center of the heart.
Naval Center.
Pelvic bowl.
Heavy,
Warm,
And grounded.
Right hip.
Right thigh.
Knee.
Shin Right ankle.
Heal Soul of the Right Foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Third toe.
Fourth,
And fifth toe.
Top of the right foot.
Ankle knee.
Right hip.
Center of the pelvis.
Left hip.
Left thigh.
Left knee.
Shin.
Ankle.
Heal.
Sole of the left foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Third,

Fifth toe top of the left foot.
Ankle knee.
Left hip.
Center of the pelvis.
Low back.
MIDDLE BAR upper back.
And that.
The whole spine from tail to crown.
Long and supported.
The whole front of the body is soft.
The whole back of the body is held.
Feel the whole body resting here,
One living field of awareness.
Now bring your awareness to the breath.
And just feel where it moves naturally.
Feel the breath at the nostrils.
Cool as it enters and warm as it leaves.
Now feel the breath at the heart center.
Rising and falling.
An offering and a receiving.
Feel the breath at the low belly.
Deep,
Wide,
And honest.
This place that knows before the mind knows.
Now feel the whole current of the breath.
Inhale,
Traveling from the nostrils to the throat,
To the heart,
To the navel.
Exhale traveling from navel,
To heart,
To throat,
To nostrils.
Like a bridge between what was and what's becoming.
You don't have to cross it.
Just feel it breathing you and connecting you.
Now release the breath.
In transition,
You know effort very well.
So bring to mind the feeling of effort.
The doing.
The figuring out.
The trying to make everything make sense.
The mental holding of all the pieces.
Feel the awareness of effort in the body.
Now let effort dissolve.
And inviting the opposite sensation.
It's grace.
This is not giving up.
The feeling of being carried.
Of life moving through you,
Not just by you.
This sense of effortless effort.
The breath breathes itself.
The heart beats itself.
Intensify the feeling of grace in your entire being.
Effort.
Grace.
Effort.
Grace.
Let both dissolve now.
And rest as the one who can witness both.
Effort arises in you.
Grace also arises in you.
And you're larger than both.
Now bring the feeling of holding on into your awareness.
To an identity.
To a version of you that's kept you safe.
But feels too small now.
Intensify the feeling of holding on in the mind and the body.
Let that dissolve.
And now call in the feeling of letting go.
Not abandoning,
But releasing.
Like opening your hands after carrying something heavy for a long time.
Feel the sensation of freedom that comes from letting go.
Holding on.
Letting go.
Rest as the awareness that holds both.
You can honor what was and still allow what wants to come.
As the body becomes still and the mind becomes quiet.
Will allow images to rise on their own.
Let this story unfold in the inner space without any effort.
As you connect to the inner space,
Notice a threshold.
It's an old arched doorway standing alone in open land.
It's simple.
No walls,
Just a doorway.
And you feel you know this place.
That you stood here before in your life.
And behind you,
You can feel the path you've walked.
You don't need to look back.
Your body remembers its texture,
And it's brought you exactly here.
And before you,
Through the doorway,
The same land continues,
But you notice the light is different.
It's clearer.
The air feels different on your skin.
It's softer yet more alive.
And you stay at this threshold.
There's no need to step forward yet.
And no need to go back.
You're just here.
Let yourself belong in this in-between space.
This doesn't mean you're lost.
This is liminal.
It's where becoming happens before doing.
Feel a breeze move through the doorway from the future landscape toward you.
It doesn't bring answers.
But it brings permission.
Permission to not know yet.
Permission to be held while you become.
Let that breeze move through your chest.
Your belly.
Your whole body.
Let your whole system receive it.
You don't need to know what comes next to be ready for what comes next.
Your body is becoming ready by standing here.
Let the image dissolve slowly now.
But keep the feeling of the threshold in the body.
That quiet power of not yet,
But almost.
This awareness that's witnessed the whole journey tonight.
The heart's desire.
The body.
The breath.
Effort and grace.
Holding and letting go.
Threshold.
This awareness doesn't transition.
It's always steady.
You are not the transition.
You're the one who's aware of the transition.
Rest as that.
I am not my thoughts.
I am the one who sees my thoughts.
I am not my emotions.
I'm the one who feels my emotions.
I'm not this changing season.
I'm the space in which the season arises.
Rest here.
Bring your awareness back to the heart center.
Repeat your heartfelt intention again three times,
Planting it a little deeper now.
Feel the body lying down.
Feel the breath moving the body.
And feel the room around you.
Something needs to change and maybe you don't know what it is yet.
That knowing is wisdom.
And when you're ready for a deeper container to hold this becoming.
Trust that it will be there.
You can drift here.
Or slowly move the fingers and toes.
And roll over to one side.
And when you're ready.
Slowly come to a comfortable seat.
Carrying this beautiful awareness with you.
Bring the hands together at the center of the chest.
Gently bowing the chin.
In gratitude for your body.
For this moment.
And for your life.
I'm sending you all the love.
