If we can meet everything with kindness, the "good," the "bad;" the painful, and the regrettable; our lives become richer, fuller, easier, and more flowing. Please join me with my combined practice of traditional secular mindfulness; awareness of the Body, Thoughts, and Emotions; with the practice of kindness.

Hi everyone,

This is Hiroki Ishihara-Baz,

And today we will be practicing kindness meditation.

So inviting in your attention back to the present moment,

Relaxing,

Creating a sense of awareness in your body,

Meeting it with half relaxation and half alertness.

Gently scan your body with kind attention,

Curiosity,

Non-judgment,

Openness.

Gently scanning your body with awareness from tip to toe,

Slowly moving like a scanner,

Gently,

Kindly,

Up and down,

Up and down.

And this power of awareness,

Gentle,

Kind awareness,

Heals.

Heals every pain,

Every misalignment,

Every discomfort,

Every entanglement.

Kind attention everywhere in your body.

Notice inviting your attention back to the body with alertness.

Notice your breath as it is,

Noticing the up and down,

The chest rising and falling,

Noticing your nose as you inhale and exhale.

Notice your thoughts as they come and go,

Allowing them to freely move,

Come in and out,

Just like clouds in an open,

Clear,

Blue sky.

Just allow them to be,

Move about,

Not grasping them,

Not holding onto them,

But just free.

Inviting everything in,

Every sound,

Every distraction,

Every thought,

Every sensation into your meditation,

Into your awareness,

Kindly.

Just noticing,

Noticing everything that's happening with open curiosity and non-judgment.

I wonder how this is like,

I wonder what it's like,

What this is like.

Now moving on to our kindness practice.

What is kindness?

Kindness is an energy,

An energy wishing,

Wishing you to be happy.

May you be happy,

May I be happy,

May you be happy,

May goodness come to you,

May goodness come to me,

May you be loved,

May I be loved,

May you find happiness,

Joy,

Peace,

May all good things come to you,

May all good things come to me,

May you be free,

May you be strong,

May you be may you be healthy,

May you be loved,

May you be safe,

May you be well,

May you be happy,

May I be happy,

May I be good,

May I be healthy and strong,

May I be patient,

May I be willing to be with what is,

May I be natural,

May I be aware,

May I be kind to myself,

May you be kind to yourself.
