Hello,

My name is Hilary LaFawn and I'm so grateful that you have joined me today to explore how to visualize your success.

This strategy has been used often by athletes,

Professionals of all kinds.

It's a way to create your desired outcome.

To create your future,

To set yourself up for success.

So finding yourself in a comfortable seat or position of your choice.

Closing your eyes if that feels right for you.

Allow your body to soften and settle in.

We're going to start by relaxing the body.

Starting with our feet.

Energetically allowing your feet to expand.

Creating more space for your cells and your muscles to relax and soften.

Breathing and exhaling completely and noticing if this is the first time you're bringing awareness to your breath.

Letting your breath movements align with the relaxation of each muscle group.

So as you inhale and feel your chest expand,

Your stomach rise.

Breathing allowing your feet and your calves and your ankles all to soften and melt and just relax.

Inhaling and exhaling allowing the tops of your legs to be heavy.

Rooted in the chair or the seat or the cushion,

Wherever you are.

Inhaling and exhaling allowing your belly to be soft.

Let those muscles go.

Allow the muscles around your seat and your low back to just expand.

Breathing in and out.

Noticing what you feel in your chest area.

Allowing this area to be soft and light.

Inhaling and this time when you exhale let a wave of relaxation wash over your head and down your arms.

Feel the energy rush through your fingertips and notice for a moment if your hands are clenched and see if there's a way to let them go just a little more.

This next inhale and exhale will be specifically for your shoulders,

Your back and your spine.

Noticing any tension in these areas and just breathing it out,

Relaxing the body.

Bringing your awareness to your neck and your jaw and your ears.

Allowing these next few breaths to soften this area.

Letting your forehead be light and smooth.

The muscles around your eyes relaxing with each breath.

Feeling open and alert but relaxed and soft and calm.

This next inhale and exhale have a second wave of relaxation wash over the back of the head,

The front of the face.

Feel comforted and at ease.

Noticing your whole body in a relaxed state.

Bringing your awareness to the contents of your mind so we relax the body and now let's try to empty the contents of the mind.

We can do this by focusing on our breath.

So for the next 30 seconds or so let's just take some deep inhales following the air going in through the nose,

Down through the throat,

Into the lungs,

Chest rising,

Stomach expanding.

And as you exhale follow it all the way out.

Noticing that the breath is a little warmer in the exhale than the inhale.

Two more times inhale deeply following the breath all the way down.

And exhaling completely.

One more time inhale and exhale.

Your body is relaxed.

Your mind is slightly more clear.

Now allow for your heart to be open.

Bring your awareness to the center of your chest.

Noticing if you can feel any heartbeat,

Any sensation.

And with our awareness in this physical location set your intention.

This is where the visualization for success comes from.

From your heart space.

What do you truly want?

Is it an athletic goal?

Monetary goal?

Family?

Work?

Whatever it is.

From this point,

From this place,

Breathe,

Settle in and visualize what your goal is.

Now let's look into our mind's eye.

Let's visualize ourselves as we go step by step in achieving this goal.

See yourself at the starting line.

What does the starting line mean for you?

What does it look like?

What does it feel like?

What are you wearing?

Who's around you?

Who is supporting you?

Visualize the steps it will take to achieve this goal.

Breathing,

Relaxing,

But staying focused.

Imagine yourself as if you're watching yourself from a distance.

Noticing your facial expressions.

Maybe you're determined,

Steadfast.

Maybe there's some lightness to your face.

Maybe you're smiling.

Allow yourself to have fun with this.

Whatever the goal is.

As you breathe and soften,

Visualize the next step of this goal.

What do you need to let go of to accomplish this next step?

Breathing,

Softening.

Noticing if any tension has risen in the body from thinking about this goal,

Thinking about your success.

And just letting that energy go.

Now visualize yourself closer towards the end,

Closer towards your success.

Harder decisions may have to be made.

Other things let go.

See yourself able to handle this.

Strong,

Powerful,

Committed.

You can do this.

Allow your hands to soften.

Your feet to soften.

Feel pride and joy in your heart center.

Now visualize yourself accomplishing this goal.

What are you wearing?

Who's around you?

How do you feel?

Let this pride,

This sense of accomplishment wash over you.

Breathe.

Settle.

Now before we end our time together,

What is one thing that you could do today to start you on your path towards your success?

One small thing.

It could be an email.

It could be a conversation.

It could be some movement.

What do you need to let go to create the space?

Allow yourself one more moment to feel your accomplishment,

To feel motivated.

Let's take three deep breaths.

Inhaling all your breath out,

Inhaling through the nose,

And exhaling through the nose or the mouth.

Sighing it out,

Making some noise.

Start to bring some movement into your body as you inhale again.

Maybe you're shaking your palms out,

Moving your legs,

Wiggling your toes.

Exhaling,

Letting it all go.

One more time.

Inhale and exhale.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Just remember you can visualize your success at any time.

Maybe start by relaxing the body,

Bringing awareness to the breath.

Then setting your attention by bringing focus to your heart area.

See yourself at the start,

Middle,

And finish line,

And the world is yours.
