Kukui
Kukui means "light" in Hawaii. In ancient Hawaii, kukui nuts were burned to provide light. The nuts were strung in a row on a palm leaf midrib, lit on one end, and burned one by one. This song was written while I was in Hawaii last year. If you listen closely, you will hear Coquí frogs in the music, which are widespread across Hawaii. This song is fiery like Pele and was inspired by my visit to the islands.
