My name is Hayley and welcome to your meditation.
Find yourself a comfortable position.
You can sit,
You can lie down,
Really any position where you feel comfortable and where you can rest.
Let yourself settle into the architecture of your body,
Welcoming in your own unique inner sanctuary and your place here in it.
Melt into the heaviness of the earth,
Our mother,
Allowing yourself to feel connected to her support and energy.
From that sense of connection,
Rest and ease.
Relax all of your muscles,
Legs,
Your back,
Your arms.
You can relax the muscles of your face and your jaw.
Allow your shoulders to soften and especially soften any area where you have the tendency to hold tension or to over-effort.
Welcome in the natural rhythm of your breath.
You don't need to change anything,
Simply let it ebb and flow naturally.
You might like to make your breath a little fuller or a little bigger,
Creating a feeling that is more expansive,
But keep it easeful.
Welcome what is a natural flow of giving and receiving.
As we inhale,
We breathe in from the earth and as we exhale,
We give back to her.
I invite you today to hold yourself in deep reverence for all of your parts.
To revere means to feel deep respect or admiration.
So just for today,
Just in this moment,
Hold yourself in that energy and see yourself in that light.
Even if it feels difficult or perhaps impossible,
Can you try it just for a moment?
And if you can't feel it right now,
Could you perhaps visit a memory where you feel deeply satisfied with who you were in that time?
You can be generous with how you see yourself,
So kind,
Tender,
Gentle.
Choose to be like this for yourself.
Within each of us is the same tenderness that is held within a small child.
Remember this,
All of us carry this within us.
In fact,
All of our ages and stories and experiences of our journey so far are within us.
Welcoming all of these experiences and all of the wisdom that comes with these,
All of the energies of what it means to be you.
Breathe and soften into these elements of yourself and breathe in anything else that's rising up for you today in this moment.
Once again,
Choose to be generous with how you see yourself.
You have permission to hold yourself in the highest light,
No matter your perceived mistakes or imperfections.
Have reverence for all that you are and all that it means to be human,
Walking this path.
Your journey so far is important and you can hold it in the highest.
Breathe into the knowing that you have always and will continue to be in the right place at the right time,
Unfolding and creating imperfect timing and grace.
Again,
Be excessively gentle with yourself and let the resonance of this gentleness,
This tenderness settle into your bones.
Breathe with the energies of this here.
Replenish in these energies.
Rest in these energies and let your reverence of self build vibrancy and vitality in your body-mind.
I'll give you just a little bit of time and space to rest with this.
Invite your breath to be just a little deeper.
Whether you're sitting or lying,
Very slowly start bringing your thoughts and awareness back to the surface.
You may like to move your body a little,
Turning your head or wiggling your fingers or toes.
Once again,
Invite your breath to be a little fuller,
A little more expansive.
Continue to let it move naturally and with ease.
As you allow yourself to return fully into the space where you rest,
Ready once again to meet your day.
Notice the parts of you that are connected to the earth and notice that gentle hug of gravity drawing you to her,
Keeping you grounded.
And as you return to your day,
You have permission to take with you this feeling,
A sense of deep reverence for yourself,
For all that you are and all that it means to be human,
Walking this imperfect path.
