Human is a feeling,
So give yourself a moment to feel you're human.
The texture of this moment on your skin and in your lungs.
Notice what it feels like to begin to orient toward the spaces in between.
And see where you can find them.
The tiny crest at the top of the inhalation,
Or the hollowness at the bottom of the exhalation.
The smallest of suspensions,
It doesn't have to be a big one.
And through these cracks,
These openings of tiny spaces,
Can we weave together a pause?
A moment between moments.
In between thoughts,
Sensations,
Feelings,
Even and especially the very human ones.
I don't know how to say the words.
It might be balm for your tender hearts,
But here is space just a little while longer for you to listen for their whispers.
And if you're feeling very human,
Maybe you put a hand to your very human heart.
Hold it there.
Notice the texture of this moment on your skin and in your lungs.
Notice the texture of this moment moving through you.
And the buoyancy of all the little spaces in between.
Hi,
I love you.
Here we are.
