Find a comfortable position,
Whether you're sitting or laying down.
Letting the eyes close if it feels available to you.
Taking a slow breath in through the nose,
Long exhale out through the nose.
And allowing that a few more times,
Letting the body know that it can rest,
Bringing your attention to the top of the head,
Noticing the forehead,
Eyes,
Muscles behind the eyes,
Jawline,
Let the tongue fall away from the roof of the mouth,
Feeling the neck,
The shoulders,
Allowing them to drop slightly,
Noticing the arms,
Noticing the hands,
Bringing awareness to the belly,
The legs,
Nothing to change,
Just arriving inside yourself.
Gently bring your awareness to the center of your chest,
Behind the sternum,
To the place where your heart lives,
You can also place a hand over this area,
And simply resting your attention here,
Allowing yourself to be with your own heart.
Taking a few more breaths in,
Easy exhale out,
Take a breath in,
Exhale out,
One more slow breath in,
And a long,
Easy exhale out,
Taking a breath in,
Feeling the rhythm of the breath,
And listening to the heart,
Noticing the space inside your chest now,
Nothing to change,
Just noticing,
Simply as if you're sitting with someone that you care about,
And that someone is you.
Taking a few more breaths,
Quietly ask yourself,
What does my heart need from me right now?
Taking one more slow breath in,
And exhaling out.
When you're ready,
Begin to move the fingers,
Moving the toes,
And slowly opening the eyes.
Thank you so much,
Namaste.
