This meditation is a journey inward into the inner dimensions of the mind, pulling in our awareness to the central channel of energy that lights up the spine, aiming to eventually sit in pure consciousness aware of only itself. This is based on the work of Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami.

Inner Dimensions of the Mind Meditation This meditation is based on the teachings of Guru Sivaya Subramaniya Swami in Hindu and Kundalini techniques.
This guided meditation is intended to invite you into neural coherence,
Moving energy from the outer dimensions of awareness inward towards total conscious awareness and clarity.
Begin by finding a quiet place where you will be the least disturbed.
If available to you,
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position on the floor with your legs folded or even in a chair with your feet resting on the ground.
Take the time you need to shift and adjust any discomfort and then start to settle into stillness.
Your back is relaxed yet straight so that life energy moves freely through the body.
Your head is balanced right at the top of your spine but with no tension in the neck.
Your hands find a comfortable resting position in your lap perhaps and maybe the thumbs come together to touch just softly.
Once you are comfortable,
Gently close your eyes as you invite your awareness inward.
Now take a deep cleansing breath,
Slowly inhaling through the nose until the lungs and belly are filled.
Now exhale through the mouth in a big sigh,
Releasing all the energy and thoughts and commitments of daily life allowing yourself to enjoy this beautiful mind space and time that you have reserved solely for going within.
Now begin to breathe through the nose,
In through the nose and out through the nose.
With every breath you feel more and more relaxed.
Your breathing grows slower,
Deepens as you concentrate on the gentle rise and fall of the body on each breath.
If the mind begins to wander,
Gently guide awareness back to your slow,
Gentle breathing and you relax even more and more.
From the top of your head down,
You begin to invite every part of your body to relax.
Your face,
Eyebrows and jaw relax.
Your shoulders fall away from your ears and relax.
Your arms and your chest relax.
Your stomach and your groin relax.
Your glutes and legs release and relax,
Giving permission for the earth to hold you up instead.
Your feet rest and relax.
Now that you feel completely relaxed in your body,
Your breathing begins to deepen into all the opened up space in your body.
The inhale begins to lengthen,
Getting longer and longer.
Your breath travels past the chest and fills deep in the belly.
The exhale also lengthens,
Getting longer and longer,
Softly contracting the belly at the bottom of the exhale.
I now invite you to a breathing exercise where you might try to count the breath,
Slowly inhaling for nine counts.
Pausing for one count with full lungs,
Then slowly releasing the breath for nine counts.
Pausing for one count completely empty,
Inhaling to the count of nine.
Pausing for one beat,
Exhaling to the count of nine.
And resting empty for one beat.
Try this at your own pace.
At the beginning,
The length of each count may be very fast,
Or you may try to begin with a count of only four or five.
Continue to relax into longer and longer breaths.
There is no pushing,
No effort,
Simply a relaxation into stillness,
Awareness.
You feel the rhythm of the breath and the lengths of the beats slow,
Slow,
Slow down until finally you may find that you are counting to the beat of your own heart.
Feel the energy of your heart beating in rhythm with your breath and feel both intensely alive and intensely at peace.
Feel this aliveness,
This life force energy throughout your whole body.
As you tune into the awareness of the life force in your body,
You may begin to feel the warmth of this energy.
Feel the warmth of energy in your feet,
Legs,
Hips.
Feel the warmth,
The heat of this life force in your torso,
Arms,
Your hands.
Feel the warmth of this moving energy in your neck,
Your face.
And now the warmth throughout your entire head.
This heat,
This energy,
Feel it flowing throughout your entire body.
Feel this warmth activating every single cell within your body with pure life force energy.
Feel this heat even emanating out from your skin,
Radiating all around and within your body.
I invite you now to go deeper,
Deeper into the energy that's creating this heat.
That is the essence of this warmth.
Let's go deeper now into the currents that carry this life energy.
The nerve currents that run throughout our entire body.
As you bring your awareness into the nerve currents,
You may begin to feel tingling in your hands or outermost extremities.
And you see that this heat and warmth of the light energy is coming from movement,
The waves of light,
The pulsating of pure energy going through the thousands of miles of currents that run throughout your body.
Follow these currents and how this energy flows.
Can you feel it in the hands,
The arms,
The legs,
Pulsating,
Moving,
Tingling?
Try to feel the currents flowing throughout the body all at once,
Sending information,
Energy,
Sensations,
Love throughout every crevice and corner of your body.
Can you feel the energy currents reaching out just past the body,
Receiving and signaling?
Can you feel it?
Feel how your energy moves through this vast network.
If your awareness begins to wander as you sit,
Gently guided back to the flow of energy in the nerves throughout the body system.
Now,
We go deeper still into the essence of the energy currents.
Imagine all of this energy,
All of these currents throughout your body,
Flowing from one place,
All connected to the center of you.
See your spine in your mind's eye now and visualize it as a hollow channel or column filled with light.
Feel how all of your life energy flows through this column.
Feel the power that resides here.
This powerful energy is there all the time,
Quiet,
Yet so intense,
Feeding out life force to every nerve and muscle in your body.
Connect to this energy,
This pure life force that feeds all of the nerve currents.
Travel from those nerve currents back to the center,
Back to the essence,
To the life force that flows through the center of your body,
Your spinal column.
Connect to this energy,
This power in the spine,
And realize that this is you.
This light,
This energy,
This powerhouse of force housed in the spine that flows,
Feeding your physical and psychic body.
This energy is more you than your body is you.
Begin to identify completely with this pure life force energy.
You are more this pure energy than you are your thought force or emotions.
You begin to see that this great energy is one and the same as your own awareness and is one and the same with your own willpower.
I now invite you to call all of your energy home,
Back to its home in the central column of light,
Back to your spine,
Back to you.
I invite you to take a deep inhale,
And as you inhale,
Become aware of your left leg all the way out to the tips of the toes.
And as you exhale,
Slowly draw the energy from the entire leg back into the spine.
On the next inhale,
Become aware of your right leg all the way out to the toes.
And as you exhale,
Slowly withdraw the energy from the right leg into the spine.
On the next inhale,
Become aware of your left arm all the way out to the tips of the fingers.
And as you exhale,
Slowly withdraw the energy from the arm into the spine.
On the next inhale,
Become aware of your right arm all the way out to the fingers.
And as you exhale,
Slowly withdraw the energy from that arm back into the spine.
Finally,
On the next inhale,
Become aware of the entire torso.
And as you exhale,
Gently,
Slowly,
And deeply pull this energy inward from all directions.
As you retrieve this energy from the outward-facing senses and return it inward,
Allow this concentrated energy to completely fill the spine and head.
This energy,
Which is awareness itself,
Willpower itself,
Life itself,
Allow it to fill your entire conscious awareness.
Plunge deeply into this life force energy.
Go behind and deep and into the essence of this energy.
And then into the essence of the essence.
And feel yourself.
Your name,
Your education,
Your emotions,
Even your body,
None are present here.
The force that drives those things,
That is all there is.
Pure awareness,
Aware of itself.
You are aware of no second thing now,
Only awareness,
Consciousness.
And you sit here,
And you breathe here.
Pure energy,
Pure consciousness.
Feel how dynamic and powerful and vibrant this energy that is your true being is.
Feel free to pause and sit here in this dynamic energy of the spine as long as you like.
When you are ready to end the meditation practice,
Begin to allow the life force energy that is moving and flowing within the spine to begin to gently start to flow out again through the nervous system,
Energizing the miles and miles of nerve currents once more.
Feel your nervous system coming to life.
And as it comes to life,
Feel the warmth again in your body as you come back into physical awareness.
Feel your breath as it rises in the belly and slowly drops back again.
Begin to gently move your fingers and your toes.
And finally,
When you are ready,
Begin to slowly open your eyes.
Look around and see the external world and how it looks now that you have briefly experienced the deep internal world of pure consciousness.
