Hello,
Welcome to this meditation for the June 2018 full moon.
You can do this meditation at any time really.
It is going to be a beautiful visualization to help you appreciate the abundance in your life,
Which is a meditation that we can happily do anytime.
The reason why I chose an abundance meditation for the June full moon is because this is a time of great abundance.
In the northern hemisphere,
We are celebrating summer,
We're at the peak of summer,
And we've just gone through the summer solstice.
It is an absolutely beautiful time of year with flowers,
Leaves growing quickly,
Everything is lush and green and beautiful.
This full moon is also known as the honey moon or mead moon.
This moon really begins to signify the gratitude for all the abundance that surrounds us.
Inspired by this name,
The honey moon,
I decided to come up with a meditation on the honey bee and that's what we will be visualizing with this meditation.
To begin,
Take a comfortable seat,
Making sure that your knees are below your hips,
Either sitting on a chair or on the floor.
Make sure your back is straight so that you can breathe freely.
If you choose to do this meditation lying down,
That's absolutely fine.
Now we'll begin with a couple of deep breaths,
Just breathing in through the nose and out through your mouth.
Just sighing it out,
Breathing in through the nose,
Feeling your belly expand and breathing out through the mouth,
Feeling your muscles begin to relax.
Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth,
Allowing your face to relax.
Feeling your body begin to feel heavy,
Beginning to find some stillness.
Visualizing your mind,
A big,
Bright,
Heavy,
Full moon in the sky.
Or if you so choose,
You could even do this meditation while gazing at the moon.
The full moon is an excellent time to celebrate all of the growth that we've experienced,
To celebrate all of the good things that have come to us,
The beautiful things in our lives that we've manifested,
The abundance in our life.
Allow your mind's eye to rest on this big,
Glowing,
Full moon and imagine yourself basking in its glow.
Now,
I want you to begin to visualize.
A place where there is an abundance of flowers,
Whatever your favorite flower might be.
Maybe it's a beautiful garden full of rose bushes,
Maybe it's a field of sunflowers,
But imagine a place where there is just a vast number of flowers.
Begin to picture yourself there.
The sun is shining,
It's a beautiful summer day.
You begin to notice that flying around you are some friendly honeybees.
If you find that you have any sort of fear or apprehension around the honeybee,
Just remember that this is a visualization.
You are completely safe.
These honeybees are just going about their business.
Honeybees are very busy and they are going from flower to flower collecting pollen for their colony.
Just imagine the work of this honeybee.
All day they get to stuff their faces into these wonderful smelling flowers,
Crawling inside a giant flower,
Collecting the pollen and then using their wings to fly through the air back to their hive.
Take a moment to reflect on how delicious this life must be all day long,
Just enjoying the flowers.
Not only that,
But these friendly little bees are also helping the flowers by going from flower to flower,
They are pollinating them.
Pretty soon the flowers will go to fruit and go to seed.
Now imagine the bees are heading back to their hive and they are using this pollen to help them create their delicious honey.
Now as you begin to reflect on this beautiful space full of flowers,
Imagine feeling the sun warming your body.
I want you to begin to imagine that you are like a bee and each of these flowers that you visit is something in your life that you are really grateful for.
Each of these flowers is a small gift.
Begin to imagine landing on a flower,
Maybe this one is a rose,
And imagine that it's a person in your life that you are really grateful for.
Imagine flying to the next flower,
Maybe this one is a daffodil,
And this is something wonderful that has happened to you in the past month,
Something you are really grateful for.
Again moving on to the next flower,
Perhaps this one is lavender.
Imagine again something sweet in your life,
Even just something as small as a gesture or a hug or even a smile.
Begin to do this work of imagining going from flower to flower,
Beginning to reap all of the abundance in your life.
Letting your heart fill with gratitude.
And forget to even allow gratitude for yourself,
Perhaps qualities that you have that you feel good about.
As you do this,
Picture in your mind all of the beautiful colors,
The smells of these flowers,
This huge array of gifts that you have in your life.
Here is a beautiful flower that may represent a pet that you love.
Or a family member.
Here is a flower that might represent an evening where you had a delicious meal with a friend.
Just really allow yourself to bask in this great abundance.
Now just as the bees will take the pollen back to the hive,
Imagine that you are taking all of this gratitude back to your heart and your home.
The honey that we are creating with this gratitude is love.
With each flower of gratitude,
You create more love in your heart.
This delicious golden honey of love,
Just imagine it filling up your heart.
It's warm and sweet.
And as we use this gratitude practice to fill up our store of love,
We are then able to take that love back out into the world and give it to others.
The bee knows that there is a cycle in life and it knows that there will be flowers next season.
It's the same.
The flowers may fade.
These little moments,
These little special moments that we are celebrating may fade away.
Next season we'll bring new flowers as our heart is full of love.
We can rest happily in this feeling of abundance.
We can also rest in the knowledge that there are fruits to come.
Now that we've cultivated our garden,
We can look forward to the fruits of our labor.
Let yourself feel full.
Feel an abundant,
Glowing,
Large energy,
Huge heart full of gratitude.
And just as the tiny honeybee has a very important place in this cycle,
We also have an important place in this whole system.
The honeybee visits hundreds of flowers and it may not even realize how it's helping those flowers.
In the same way we touch so many lives,
We may not even realize the effect that we have.
But you are good and you are kind.
You are spreading love every day.
You can rest in the knowledge that you deserve the abundance.
And you've worked hard and you can take a moment to celebrate.
So at this time,
Under this big full moon,
This big beautiful full June honeymoon,
Be sure to take a moment to be thankful and to acknowledge the work that you've done.
Pat yourself on the back.
Give yourself a big smile.
Thank you for meditating with me.
I will be offering these full moon meditations each month.
You enjoy it.
And as always,
If you have any questions,
Please feel free to contact me.
Thank you.

Thank you for this summer imagery. It was perfect when I needed to de-stress after a day with my super cranky and crying baby. It took me out of my apartment and into a better head space.
