In this meditation,

I am going to invite you to come home to your body.

You know we all have a body.

If you're listening to this meditation,

You have ears that are part of your body.

We can have appreciation for our ears,

Which allow us to hear.

If you are reading this meditation,

Then you have eyes that are part of your body.

We can have appreciation for our eyes,

Which allow us to see.

There are truly endless things to appreciate about our bodies.

But a lot of the time,

We spend our time either criticizing our bodies,

Trying to change our bodies,

Ignoring our bodies,

Or completely checked out of our bodies.

Many people live in their heads with little connection to their bodies.

This can be for a variety of reasons,

All completely understandable and legitimate.

We all carry traumas in our bodies.

For some of us,

That makes it extra hard to be present in our bodies.

Some of us have received and internalized countless negative messages about our bodies.

For some of us,

The very concept of being in our body feels overwhelming,

Perhaps full of shame and even humiliation.

So as we move into more embodiment,

Being more present in our bodies,

Developing a more loving and intimate relationship with our bodies,

Even claiming the beauty,

Power and miraculousness of our bodies,

We can go gently and easy with ourselves.

Perhaps you are ready to have a different relationship to and with your body.

Perhaps you are not quite ready or only ready to go so far.

Listen.

Do what works for you.

Listen to your body's signals.

Pay attention.

Honor your body and yourself.

Do whatever you need to do to take care of you.

This isn't a one-shot deal.

This isn't a pass or fail.

This is just one moment,

One experience on one day.

Let it be whatever it is for you and honor yourself for whatever your experience is.

As Glenn Marla said,

There is no wrong way to have a body.

And I'm telling you now,

There is no wrong way to inhabit your body.

There is only your experience in the moment and it can shift and change.

If at any time this becomes too much for you,

Feel free to pull out and do whatever self-care you need to do.

This meditation will be available for you to repeat at will.

So you can come back if you'd ever like to do that.

If you haven't already,

You may close your eyes and relax if you are comfortable with that.

If you don't want to close your eyes,

That is fine.

You do you.

Perhaps relax your vision and let your eyes go unfocused.

Notice your breath flowing in and out,

In and out.

You don't need to change your breath.

Just notice.

If you like,

You can take a few deep breaths,

Feeling the air expanding in your belly and your lungs.

And feeling the air exit your body,

Maybe blowing it out of your mouth with sound.

Hi,

Breath.

Hi,

Lungs.

Hi,

Belly.

Hi,

Mouth.

Just breathe in and out.

As you are breathing,

Notice how your body feels.

Are you comfortable?

Do you need to adjust anything so that you can be more comfortable?

Breathing.

If you are so fortunate to have feet,

Imagine your breath going all the way into your feet,

Into your toes.

Hello,

Feet.

Hello,

Toes.

And your mind's eye,

See white light flowing in through your crown chakra,

All the way down into your feet and toes.

If you don't have feet,

You still have energetic feet.

So still visualize this white light moving all the way down.

And for everyone,

This white light is flowing through the bottoms of your feet and down into the earth,

Deeply rooting you to the core of Mother Earth.

Feel her energy come back up into your feet,

Holding you,

Rooted,

Grounding you into your body and your connection to earth.

Feel both energies as they intermingle in your feet and toes and then move up into your ankles.

I love you,

Toes,

Feet and ankles.

Feel the energies rising into your calves.

Hello,

Calves.

Hello,

Legs.

You can use your hands to touch your body as the energies come into them.

Or you can just relax and feel the energies,

Whichever feels better for you.

I love you,

Calves and legs.

As the energies flow into your knees,

Breathe.

Hello,

Knees.

So many of us carry pain and trauma in our knees.

Allow the light to fill them,

Relax them and send them extra love.

I love you,

Knees.

I am grateful to be flexible and flowing in my life.

You can look up affirmations for all of your body in Louise Hay's book,

You Can Heal Your Body.

As the energies move above your knees,

Hello,

Thighs.

Breathe and relax your thighs a little more.

Thighs often hold the brunt of anger and disappointment.

Many people have tight thighs from standing too long or sitting too long or various structural and posterous issues.

Dear thighs,

Thank you for carrying me through my life.

I love you,

Thighs.

Feel the energies filling into your hips,

Butt,

Genitals and belly,

Your core.

Breathe.

So often we cut off these parts of ourselves,

Afraid to feel,

To desire,

To create,

To expand.

Let our breath soften us as we feel the energies flowing in us,

Filling us.

I love you,

Hips.

I love you,

Butt.

I love you,

Genitals.

I love you,

Belly.

Breathe.

For many of us,

Our bellies have faced much criticism and shame.

Let's offer extra,

Extra love,

Grace,

Compassion and reverence to our bellies,

Our core.

Take a moment and breathe light and love into the core of you.

You deserve nothing but love,

Kindness,

Reverence.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Let that be the song that you sing to all of the parts of your body and all of the parts of yourself.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Listen to this statement and hold it close.

There is no part of you that is unlovable.

Say it to yourself silently or speak the words out loud.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Feel the energies and the light expanding into your torso,

Into your ribs,

Into your chest and breast,

Into your back.

You are such a miracle,

Filled with so much light and love.

I love you lungs and heart and stomach and all of my precious organs.

I love your ribs.

I love you chest and breasts,

Shining your love,

Connecting me so tenderly to my loved ones through my heart center.

I love you back,

Holding me up and caring so much for me in my life.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Feel the energies moving up into your neck and flowing down into your shoulders and arms and elbows and forearms and wrists and hands and fingers.

I love you neck.

I love you shoulders.

I love you arms that allow me to hold loved ones close.

I love you elbows.

I love you forearms.

I love you wrists.

I love you hands.

I love you fingers.

What a miracle.

All the things that you allow me to do.

I am so grateful for all of you.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

And now the energies float up into the place where most of us spend most of our time,

Our heads.

As the energies gently move into the back of our head and our face,

All the way into the top of our head,

Soothing our brain into our ears and mouth and jaw and teeth and nostrils.

Breathe.

How does it feel for our head to be connected energetically and in an awareness to the rest of our body?

Can we release the weight of our thoughts and release the chatter in our mind and let our heads feel gentle?

Your head and neck may want to move a little.

Rock gently.

Release tension.

If any part of your body wants to move,

Let it.

Your body knows what you need.

You may need to shake.

You may need to stretch.

You may need to make sound.

I love you head.

I love you face.

I love you eyes.

I love you ears.

I love you mouth.

I love you teeth.

I love you jaw.

I love you nose.

I love you forehead.

I love you eyebrows.

I love you cheeks.

Maybe take your fingers and gently trace around the structures of your beautiful face.

Yes,

Beautiful.

You amazing miracle of life.

You are beautiful beyond measure.

Maybe gently rub your scalp.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

You are a beautiful miracle.

And let the energies of white light,

Of Mother Earth and Father Sky expand around you,

Moving out into the etheric field around your body,

Surrounding yourself in unconditional love.

Sit in this giant ball of light and breathe.

You are safe.

You are loved.

You are meant to be here.

Your body is exactly as it is meant to be for you in this lifetime.

Every bit of you is lovable and worthy of love and filled with love.

Breathe and now scan through your body.

Is there anything that your body would like to say to you?

Are there any areas of tightness or tension?

What message is there for you?

Are there any areas that feel particularly good?

What message is there for you?

Breathe.

Send love,

Appreciation and gratitude to your body.

Thank you.

Send apologies to your body for any cruelties or unkindness or pain that you have caused your body.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

Send forgiveness to your body and yourself for any meanness or traumas of shame that you have carried.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

I love you.

Breathe and now start wiggling those fingers and toes.

Let your body stretch.

Give yourself a smile.

You can feel more and more at home in your body.

You can feel more and more in love with your body.

You can hold your body sacred.

You can hold yourself sacred.

You can choose over and over again.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Breathe and when you are ready,

You can open your eyes and carry on with your beautiful,

Magnificent,

Miraculous,

Sacred life.
