Hello,

And thank you for joining me.

This practice is designed as a quick way to rediscover your equilibrium in stressful times.

So let's jump straight in.

Ensure that you are sitting or lying down.

Make yourself comfortable.

Feel free to take a few moments to do this.

If you happen to be sitting,

Adopt an upright and dignified posture,

And ensure your feet are touching the ground.

If you're lying down,

You might want to keep your arms at your side.

Start to just gently detect your breathing pattern,

Noticing whether it's fast or uneven,

Short or deep.

Don't change your breathing,

But just be aware of it.

Now take a deep,

Refreshing breath of air in,

And hold it at its peak for as long as it's comfortable.

And slowly release that breath and notice the natural rhythm of your breathing pattern again.

Draw your attention slowly to your face.

Somewhere we tend to hold quite a bit of tension from the stresses of our day.

Just noticing if your muscles are tight or tensed,

Especially around your jaw and forehead,

And just let those areas soften.

As you do,

You can imagine the worries or stresses of today just fade away as well,

Restoring neutrality and balance to yourself.

You can allow all your attention to return to your breathing again in your own time.

Maybe noticing the way your breath touches your nostrils on the way in and out.

Maybe you notice the tiny pause at the top and bottom of each inhale and exhale.

Find comfort in this natural life rhythm.

Your rhythm.

Pressed and restored.

In your own time,

Slowly return your attention to the room.

I wish you a pleasant and wonderful day ahead.
