Hi everyone,
I love animals.
There's so many of them,
So many different types.
And they all live in such different places.
And the great thing about animals is that they've all got something to show us,
To teach us,
To help us.
So,
Let's imagine an animal today together.
So if you're sat down,
Or if you're lying down,
No problem.
Just.
.
.
Look around a moment.
Notice the things around you.
The colours,
The shapes,
The picture.
Look down at your legs or your feet,
And just notice your body.
See your hands.
And then just close your eyes.
Taking a big breath in,
And letting a big breath out.
Big breath in,
Big breath out.
So first off,
Let's choose where we're going to be.
We might be anywhere that the animal for us might be.
So you could be stood out in your garden.
Looking around,
This is a place you know.
The fence maybe,
The plant,
The smell in the air,
The feeling of the grass underneath your toes maybe.
Or you might be in the desert,
Where the sand is hot and the wind blows,
And the sands slither down the dunes,
As the wind rolls upon them,
And the sun high in the air is hot,
And the air is dry.
You reach for your water,
And you look out upon the desert.
Or you might be in a submarine,
Deep down in the ocean,
Looking,
Searching for that animal that's going to come to you.
Wherever it is,
Wherever feels right for you,
For you.
Trust it,
And just feel yourself in that place.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And then rather than choosing an animal,
Let an animal choose you.
And as it comes out,
As you begin to see it and know what it is,
Feel this animal kind of gently welcome you just to come and investigate,
Just to have a look.
You see its beautiful colors,
Or its fur,
Or its skin,
And you feel that it's lovely and friendly towards you,
And you can go and have a closer look and a touch.
And it turns its face,
And it begins to look at you.
And you see its eyes,
And you look in,
And just breathing in and breathing out,
Just for a little bit.
Just imagine that you're having a conversation,
Having a chat,
With this animal.
And it's helping you feel nice and calm in your chat,
Just breathing in,
Breathing out.
Still breathing in and breathing out,
Just looking back at the animal and almost saying,
Thank you,
Nice to meet you,
And I'll see you again soon.
And before we kind of open our eyes,
I just want you to carry on with the conversation,
And I hope that you feel a little bit better,
And that you feel a little bit more relaxed,
And before we kind of open our eyes,
I just want you to carry on breathing in,
Breathing out,
Just ask yourself,
How does my body feel?
Breathing into that feeling,
And breathing all the air all the way out,
And then wriggling your fingers,
Wriggling your toes,
And just opening your eyes,
Looking around whenever you're ready.
Those animals sure are wise,
Aren't they?
Take care,
And try and spot the animals around you,
And I'll see you again soon.
Bye for now.
