Our quest for happiness and fulfillment has led us on a never-ending journey of acquisition and pursuit of external goals. But have you ever wondered if this happiness can be found within yourself? Vedanta philosophy, rooted in the ancient scriptures of India, teaches us that our true nature is complete and that seeking happiness outside is a result of living in ignorance of our own completeness. And what better way to convey these profound spiritual truths than through the timeless medium of storytelling? In this course, we will delve deeper into the teachings of Vedanta through a series of captivating stories and meditations. Whether you are new to Vedanta or have already begun your journey, this course offers something for everyone. Under the guidance of Sandeep, a meditation teacher from the world's yoga capital of Rishikesh, you will have the opportunity to learn and practice pure and traditional meditation techniques adapted for modern needs. Sandeep has traveled extensively throughout India to learn from traditional monasteries and is eager to share his knowledge with you. So join us as we embark on this journey of self-discovery and find the fulfillment you've been searching for within yourself. Namaste and see you on day one.

Lección 1
The Seeker's Quest
In this inaugural session of Vedanta through stories, we follow Arjun's quest for truth, exploring Vedanta's core concepts: seeking truth within and the inner journey. Arjun's encounter with a sage reveals that the answers to life's deepest questions lie within our own hearts. This session introduces self-discovery and the unity of the self with the universe, central to Vedanta philosophy. After the story, we engage in a Vedantic meditation guiding us on our own path to self-realization.
Lección 2
Beauty
In this session, we explore the allegory of a woman adorning her reflection, symbolizing our pursuit of fulfillment through external possessions—representing the ego-driven identification with the material world ('Jiva'). The story emphasizes the transcendence of this ego-self by serving others selflessly, practicing meditation on the supreme Self, and realizing boundless beauty and bliss within. The narrative encourages us to seek fulfillment beyond material possessions and ego-centered pursuits, recognizing our identity as the immortal, all-pervading Self.
Lección 3
The Ocean And The Waves
In this session, Raj, a wise fisherman, uses the metaphor of ocean waves to teach Anand about unity amidst diversity. He compares individuals to waves, separate on the surface but inherently connected to the unchanging ocean beneath. This parallels Vedanta's concept of Brahman as the unifying cosmic consciousness. Anand learns to see beyond differences, embracing the underlying unity in all diversity. Raj's wisdom inspires Anand to apply this perspective in daily life.
Lección 4
The Hidden Treasure
In this session, we meet Keshav, a contented man who discovers a radiant gem, symbolizing the Atman or the inner self. Seeking guidance from village elders, he learns that just as the gem holds immeasurable value, the Atman within each person is eternal and the source of true happiness. Through meditation and self-inquiry, Keshav unlocks inner peace and clarity, embracing the understanding that life's true treasure resides within. He shares this wisdom with the villagers, leading them to explore their own inner selves and discover lasting happiness. Keshav's story serves as a timeless reminder that the most valuable wealth exists within our souls.
Lección 5
The Mirage In The Desert
In this session, we follow Lila's journey through a scorching desert in search of an elusive oasis. She encounters a sage who explains the concept of Maya in Vedanta philosophy, describing the world as an illusion. Lila learns that true purpose lies in transcending these illusions and seeking the unchanging reality beyond the fleeting nature of the world. With the sage's guidance, she embarks on a new quest, exploring the nature of reality and her inner self.
Lección 6
Remove The Mask
In this session, we encounter Hari, a professional showman in the village of Rampur. Known for his various roles and entertaining performances, Hari takes a day off to watch an important cricket match between schools. After the match, as dusk approaches, a playful prank by Hari creates an illusion of a tiger, frightening the boys. Amidst the chaos, Jatin, observant and composed, notices the human elements in the tiger illusion and reveals Hari's trick, leading to laughter and an end to the scare. This incident serves as an analogy: just as the boys saw through Hari's illusion, understanding the world's play of masks and forms allows us to transcend its enchantment. Through this wisdom, neither life's highs nor lows can disrupt the peaceful poise settled upon understanding.
Lección 7
The Drop Merging With The River
In this session, we meet Maya, a contemplative young woman living by a river, who sees a droplet merging back into the river and realizes our true identity lies in merging with Brahman. Inspired, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, becoming a wise teacher who guides others to recognize their inseparable connection with the universe.
Lección 8
The Blindfolded Explorers
Explorers were sent on a quest to an unknown land, blindfolded and tasked to describe objects without sight. They learned "Neti, Neti" in Vedanta, meaning 'Not this, not this,' signifying the inability to fully grasp ultimate reality through individual experiences. The sage urged them to transcend limited senses and discern the unchanging reality beyond diversity. The explorers sought to practice "Neti, Neti," aiming to recognize a deeper, unchanging reality beyond their individual perceptions.
Lección 9
The Lamp Of Knowledge
Meet Nandini, a devoted monk on the path of Jnana Yoga. Through meditation, she understands knowledge as an inner light that dispels ignorance. Nandini realizes the importance of patience, diligence, and continuous learning in nurturing this inner flame. She dedicates herself to profound study, philosophical debates, and seeking wisdom. Embracing the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, she becomes a revered teacher, exemplifying that the path of knowledge is a sacred journey of self-discovery, illuminating the mind and spirit, and leading to the realization of unity with the ultimate reality.

The Bird In The Golden Cage
King Rajiv cherished a beautiful bird in a golden cage, but the bird longed for freedom. Upon the sage's insight, King Rajiv frees the bird, inspiring the kingdom's people to seek spiritual wealth over material possessions. The bird's story endures as a reminder that true liberation lies in recognizing the unity of Atman with Brahman and breaking free from worldly cycles.
