Here is a little slice of goodness to help you reconnect with yourself and top up those energy reserves. I love this meditation practise and use it when I need a little extra sparkle. Take a minute to settle yourself either sitting upright, supported in a chair or lying down. Just as long as you make yourself super comfortable, that’s all that matters.

I'm Emily Price and this is a meditation specifically for restoring your energy levels,

An opportunity for you to recharge.

So take a moment to settle,

Arrange your body into a supportive position,

Either sitting upright or laying down,

Making sure you're warm and if you don't have everything you need this is a great time to hit pause,

Gather up any layers,

Cushions and blankets to make yourself comfortable.

When you're ready,

With your eyes closed,

Bring your attention to your body,

Tune in to how it feels to be you right now,

Softening into the sensation where you can and feeling into the sensations of your body,

Become aware of your physical body,

Where it ends,

Where your skin meets your clothing,

Where the ground or the surface beneath you supports your weight back up.

And now begin to sense into how you're feeling energetically,

Where are your energy levels,

Visualising this field of energy in the form of some sort of bubble or a net,

Something that easily comes to mind,

And this force field of energy can be anywhere from a millimetre to a couple of metres distance from the edges of your physical body.

It's made from incredibly thin yet impenetrably strong material,

Flexible yet forceful.

And note if there is a certain colour,

Texture,

Quality or shape to this energy barrier,

This energy bubble that's surrounding you.

And now imagining that there is this stream of energy pouring in and down into this field of energy that encapsulates your whole body,

Not leaking energy out but a steady constant stream that's drawing down this life force energy through the space just above the crown of your head.

Every inhale draws more energy in and down into your body,

Into your energy field,

And every exhale you draw energy upwards from that supportive surface beneath you that is connected to the ground.

Just repeating this visualisation for a few breaths,

Imagining this stream of energy pouring in and down,

It might be in the form of light or golden thread,

Pouring in and down through the crown of your head as you inhale into your body,

Into your energy field.

And with every exhale you draw energy upwards from the supportive surface beneath you,

The earth beneath you,

Circulating the energy,

Drawing it in,

A few more breaths,

Inhaling it in and down,

Pouring inwards,

Exhaling drawing it upwards from the earth as you breathe out.

And now bringing your awareness back to that strong,

Supple energy barrier,

Taking some time to inspect it for any leaks,

Any spots that are wearing thin,

And using whatever imaginative tools come most naturally to you,

Perhaps knitting needles,

Some form of light,

Maybe crochet,

Needle and thread,

Maybe even welding tools,

And just beginning to patch up,

Repair this energy barrier,

Fixing any weak spots,

Any leaks or holes that you can find in this energetic membrane around you,

Taking as much time as you need,

Restoring this energy field to be fully sealed apart from that one way opening above the crown of your head where the energy is consistently pouring in and down,

Continuing with this reparation visualization,

Filling in all the holes,

All the gaps,

Any parts that feel like they need a little bit of reinforcement,

And continuing with this reparation visualization until you feel that you've fully repaired all of those gaps,

Sealed up the weak spots,

Reinforced those areas that need a little bit more support,

And noticing when things go quiet,

Does perhaps the mind become louder,

Just bring your awareness back to that energy field,

Creating a stronger,

More resilient barrier around you,

And if you need something else to focus on,

Just bring the awareness back to your breath,

Drawing the energy in and down with the in-breath,

Drawing it up with the exhale,

Breathing in to fill up that energy from the top to the bottom,

And as you exhale,

Drawing that energy upwards from the earth,

Becoming brighter,

More powerful,

More resilient with every breath,

Leaning in to the support of the visualization,

The support of your breath,

And eventually letting go of that visualization,

Letting go of the energy circulation with the breath,

And when you feel ready,

Allowing yourself to just rest for a moment,

Bathing in the hum and glow of light and energy,

Growing stronger,

Growing more resilient,

Allowing yourself to bathe in this energy field,

Nothing left for you to do,

Just resting,

Allowing yourself to be supported in that silence,

And then slowly beginning to bring your awareness back to your body,

Your physical body,

Back to the edges of your skin,

That support beneath you,

A sensation of clothing on your skin once more,

Deepening the breath,

Waking the body up,

Grounding yourself in any which way,

Maybe taking a full body stretch,

Lengthening out from the fingers to your toes,

Maybe taking a sigh,

Rolling over onto your side if you're lying down,

And slowly making your way up towards seated,

Taking your time,

Absolutely no rush,

And when you arrive,

Before you open your eyes,

Just taking a moment to express a felt sense of gratitude,

Gratitude for your body,

Gratitude for your breath,

Gratitude for taking this opportunity to rest and restore your energy levels.
