Just bringing your awareness to how you are in body and mind.
Taking a moment to remind yourself that however you feel is okay.
You don't need to change a thing,
Gently accepting whatever comes up.
Becoming aware of the pattern of your breath.
Not trying to alter its course,
Just watching it rise and fall.
Rise and fall.
And now I want you to focus on the area of your heart.
Placing your hand on your heart if this helps.
Seeing if you can notice its rhythm.
Just notice what sensations,
What feelings come up.
Imagine a bright light emanating from your heart.
It can be any colour you wish it to be.
And with each inhale,
Imagining that light becoming bigger and bigger.
Taking up more and more space in your body.
With each exhale,
Imagine that light getting brighter.
Inhale,
Feeling it expand,
Reaching more and more parts of your body.
Exhale,
Watching it get brighter.
Inhale,
Expand.
Exhale,
Brighter.
Inhale,
Feeling the light spread further and further up and down your body.
Exhale,
Feeling the light get brighter and brighter as it expands.
Inhale,
Expand.
Exhale,
Brighter.
When all of your body is filled with light,
Allow it to reach beyond,
Filling the space in which you're sat.
Allowing it to extend outward to the whole room,
The whole world.
This light is your own.
It comes from your heart.
When you're in doubt,
When you lose hope,
Return to it.
It knows the way.
Feel the love that this light brings.
Allow yourself to bathe in it.
And notice how much there is to go around.
This light is you.
