For What It's Worth — It's Never Too Late Or Too Early…
by Wei Dai
I recorded these words many years ago. Since then, life has changed in ways I could never have planned, and yet these words have remained. Today, they return in a different form. Not as a replacement for the old recording, but as the next chapter in the conversation. The voice is the same. The words are the same. But time has added its own melody. Perhaps we are not the same people who first heard these words. And perhaps that is exactly the point. If you happen to meet them again here, I hope they speak to you in a new way. *The spoken text is based on a monologue from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), inspired by the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, with a few additional lines woven into the narration. *The original recording was made many years ago. For this version, the narration is paired with Where Silence Becomes a Dream and followed by a new musical interpretation of the text. *Music co-created by Child of Silence and AI.
