Australia is going through one of the most severe droughts on record. I believe that under the same sky, we are one. That's why I recorded this prayer. It was inspired by and based on prayers for rain which I found online, from authors of different walks of life. I believe what we need now is not only to pray for a good soaking rain but also to pray with the insight that everything is a gift and to live consciously on the earth. If you'd like, please join me in this prayer. Namaste.

We pray to you who comes to raise your waters.

We pray to you who comes to raise your waters.

We pray to you who comes to raise your waters.

We pray to you who comes to raise your waters.

We pray to you who comes to raise your waters.

We pray that the soil,

Plants,

Rocks receive this ocean of love.

That this love flow into the depths,

To the roots in darkness to bring life to the light.

We pray for the healing of this wounded land.

We pray for those whose lives are under the shadow of drought.

For those who are struggling,

Who are grieving,

Who are ill,

Who are dying.

Restore them with hope.

Bless all those who are fighting fires and keep everyone safe.

We pray for the rain that will once again bring life to the fields and crops that feed us.

Restore the colourful rainbow of flowers and the shade of trees.

We pray with a grateful heart,

With the insight that everything is a gift.

The air,

The sunshine,

The rain,

Flowers,

Trees,

All good gifts come from you.

Nothing should be taken for granted.

Help us refresh our weary souls.

Help us never let a bad situation bring out the worst in us.

Help us stay strong and be positive.

With each new day comes new strength.

Help us be kind to each other and share what we have with those in need.

Even when we have nothing left in our hands,

We can still share a smile with the world.

It is the universal language of kindness.

And kindness can make a bad day good and a good day better.

Help us learn from our past and consciously make our choices as the consequences ripple further than we can imagine.

Help us live in the moment,

Aware that each moment we breathe is a gift.

I joined in your prayer for rain, right now, perhaps as a preventative, before the droughts happen, before the fires happen. To soak the earth and keep her nourished an safe.
