Welcome to Echoes of Serenity.
You're about to listen to a sleep story for adults.
It is meant to help you relax.
So that you can fall asleep more easily.
Make sure you listen to this story.
With relaxing ambience and music.
In a safe and quiet environment.
I wish you pleasant magical dreams.
In this story.
You are an elf.
You live in a secluded village in the amberful forest.
You are the guardian of the forest,
The one who observes and checks the health of the forest.
Ensuring all creatures live in harmony.
Your task is vital to the health of the elves,
Animals and mystical creatures.
You make your rounds through the beautiful forest.
Pass by an ancient forest giant,
A serene lake,
And after that you visit the Temple of the Elves.
When it's time to rest,
You retreat to your homely cabin,
Where you fall asleep to the sounds of the forest.
And remember,
If you enjoy this journey into the world of Emberfol.
.
.
Feel free to listen to one of my other stories.
That take place in and around Amberfold Academy.
Such as the Forest Herbalist and the Enchanted Emperful Greenhouse.
Now,
Let's take a journey to the magical world of the elves.
Evening descends upon the amberfall forest.
With soft steps,
You move between the trees,
Where the shadows are deep,
Full of hidden places and safe shelters.
Will-of-the-wisps and fairy lights drift among the trees,
Illuminating your path now and then.
The forest is settling down.
The birds are still singing.
The crickets are chirping.
But many animals and other creatures are now retreating for the night.
You are heading towards Elderron.
The enormous forest giant,
Standing just ahead.
It is the oldest tree in this part of the forest.
Many thousands of years old.
This venerable presence.
Carries the wisdom of the ages.
The elves ensure he is always safe.
But you possess even more skills to ensure that Eldoron has everything he needs.
Cautiously you step over the narrow path.
Fortunately,
Your eyes see well in the twilight,
And you move smoothly past bushes,
Low hanging branches and protruding roots.
The air is rich in scents.
Plants,
Fertile soil,
Fungi.
It makes you feel alive.
You can already sense that you are approaching El Doron.
He has a significant effect on the energy flows of the forest,
Which he purifies and to which he adds his strength.
And the flows of course also nourish him.
A moment later.
.
.
You stand at the foot of this immense giant.
You stop.
Bow your head and sigh deeply.
As always,
The tree helps you relax,
Let go of your worries and return to yourself.
You feel the grounding energy that hangs here.
Greetings my friend,
You whisper softly.
The aura of the tree,
Which you have known for so long,
Envelops you like a soft blanket.
You stretch out your hands and attune yourself to the energy.
You perceive the flowing energy currents.
How the stream of life moves through the forest.
Everything is running smoothly.
There are no disturbances.
But here and there,
The energy could use some help.
You walk around Eldorum.
Guiding one current to the side,
Giving another a small boost.
So that everything is optimally aligned.
To nourish Elderron and all the other trees.
You attune yourself to the trees surrounding this forest giant.
They all feel healthy.
They let you know they are content.
They are working together to support all life in the forest.
They support the growth of bushes.
Make sure branches are supporting birds' nests.
And that life in the soil can thrive.
With a feeling of satisfaction,
You walk back to your ancient friend.
You notice that Alderaan invites you to sit down.
You can feel that as a warm wave of energy washing over you.
And deep inner knowing.
Thick roots stretch out over the ground.
And close to the trunk.
They form a shallow hollow.
Where you can lean against El Doron.
It is surprisingly comfortable.
You stretch out your legs.
Lean your head against the trunk.
And look up at the canopy.
The branches spread out widely.
Forming a shady dome.
The tree houses birds,
Insects.
All kinds of small creatures.
And also a dryad,
Fairies and other energy beings.
You have been the guardian of the woods since you completed your training,
Decades ago.
That is how long you have known Alderaan.
You share a close bond.
And you know him well.
And he knows you too.
Now that you sit in silence,
Letting go of your thoughts and focusing on all the life around you.
You can feel his presence.
He has a nurturing emanation.
He helps all living creatures residing in this part of the forest.
All trees work together.
Not only through roots and fungal networks,
But also through the energy flows.
As a tree grows older,
Like El Doron,
He takes on more and more of these tasks.
He gains more insight.
Senses what others need and assumes a leading role in this.
Alderaan is a silent force.
A being that,
Like a loving parent,
Helps his children grow.
And so you also feel how he supports you,
How your energy gets a boost.
How a painful muscle in your back relaxes.
And how the immense love of nature washes over you.
You feel your body becoming heavy and completely relaxed.
As if you are sinking right into the earth.
You grant yourself this healing moment.
Your one hand rests on a root,
And the other on the earth.
At a certain point,
You realize that it is enough.
You still have more tasks to complete.
You smile,
Get up and turn towards Alderaan,
His broad trunk full of moss and small plants.
You place your hand on the trunk,
Send him your love,
And silently thank your friend.
Then you set off towards the next special place in the forest.
The twilight is deepening.
But that does not hinder you.
Nightbirds are now making themselves heard.
But you also hear some magical creatures.
The soft sound of a nymph.
Every now and then,
The sound of a protective spell being activated.
And the singing of the Dryads.
These are magical,
Enchanting sounds that form a beautiful part of this special forest.
You continue your walk and follow a winding path through a pine forest,
Where the air smells wonderful.
Moss,
Flowers and shrubs flourish under the trees.
You move through the woods without disturbing anything.
Tall ferns grow along the path.
You feel their soft,
Feathery leaves brush against your hands.
Flowers,
That bloom during the day,
Are now closing their petals.
But there are also flowers that open at night.
You see the large,
Deep purple buds of the Aegelia flower nearby.
Slowly the flowers unfold,
Releasing a sweet,
Heavy scent.
The flower attracts many insects.
And you can already see many night bees,
Moon dragonflies and crown wasps flying around in the vicinity.
Slowly you continue walking,
Sometimes resting your hand on a tree trunk or a leaf.
You feel a lively energy here,
A bustling web of life that always feels like a warm blanket to you.
The path winds around a large forest giant,
A spruce with a rugged bark full of scars.
This tree,
Too,
Is centuries old.
Its branches are covered in moss and vines twist up its trunk.
To greet this venerable tree.
Which has guarded this part of the forest for centuries.
You take care not to step on its roots.
The light is diffused.
The moon is already rising,
But very little of its pale light reaches the forest floor.
You do see softly glowing mushrooms.
A number of plant species have luminous leaves.
And fireflies can be found here as well.
And,
Of course,
There are magical creatures that spread light.
Either by emitting light themselves or by performing magic that releases light.
You see,
You dry it.
Laying a healing web around a tree.
Which glows a soft blue.
Further on,
A small sprite hangs,
Floating between the tree trunks,
Like a white glowing mist cloud.
It all creates a peaceful atmosphere in the forest.
You can already see a clearing in the forest,
Glimmering in the distance.
You pass a couple of large rocks.
Momentarily resting your hand on the cool stone.
Because these beings are also important to the ecosystem.
As you walk on,
You feel tingles of energy flowing over your body.
It is a pleasant sensation.
One of magic and powerful currents.
You have arrived at the small lake named Irshavin.
A place of power,
Where streams of magic converge.
And many mysterious and magical creatures live.
It is a place of contemplation,
Of reference.
And where you can feel the primordial power of Mother Earth.
You walk slowly along the water.
The smooth surface reflects the image of the trees and the darker sky.
As silence falls,
Broken only by the soft lapping of the water and the chirping of the crickets.
You attune yourself to the surroundings again and enjoy all the impressions.
A small fairy flies towards you.
It is one of the night guardians of the forest.
Who help it come to rest at night.
And care for their plants and animals.
This fairy glows soft green and gold,
And the stardust in the creature's messy short hair sparkles in the moonlight.
The small wings hum as the fairy frolics around you a few times.
You hold out your hand,
And the little creature.
.
.
That hardly weighs anything,
Lands on your hand.
You see the small being and smile.
This night guardian is called Yenigo.
And tells you in the language of the fairies that everything is fine with the animals such as deer,
The foxes,
Birds and boars.
But also with the mythical beings.
Like the centaurs,
Unicorns,
Hippogriffs,
Phoenixes and nymphs.
You're not happy to hear this.
It is time for our dance again.
Will you stay and watch?
Yannicko asks.
I wouldn't want to miss it,
" you tell your small friend.
It is a full moon.
And you can already see its light rising above the trees.
You find a spot on the bank of the lake in the soft grass.
You lean against a rock and fix your gaze on the water.
First,
There is silence.
A moment of anticipation.
You take the time to settle down and focus on your breath.
A moment later,
Lights appear above the water.
They move slowly,
Then fast.
Flitting about in all directions.
The fairies appear.
Their glowing wings reflecting in beautiful colors on the water.
They dance together.
Then alone.
Close to the water,
But also high above it.
Their glow traces patterns across the water.
Geometric shapes whose meanings remain a mystery.
Soft tinkling sounds,
And sometimes the dripping of water.
The dance continues and captivates you.
The surface of the lake begins to ripple softly.
Currents seem to form.
And you already know what is about to happen.
A water nymph raises her head above the water and slowly spins around with her arms raised.
2 more appear.
The little fairies land on the nymph's hands and spin in the opposite direction.
The nymphs rise higher.
They are beings that seem to consist half of water,
Half of light.
They never speak to land creatures.
But you know that as long as you respect the aquatic life.
.
.
They,
In turn,
Will respect you.
Their dance is magical,
Slow and flowing.
A mist forms above the water.
Which makes all the glowing lights more diffuse,
And even more like out of a fairy tale.
You do not know how long the dance goes on.
All sense of time has vanished.
The fairies ascend,
Rising high above the water,
Like small coloured lanterns.
The mist thickens and conceals the nymphs.
They sink back into the water.
Tranquility seems to return.
But then a strange glow in the lake catches your attention.
You fix your eyes on it.
The mist thins again,
And then you see a rare sight.
A water dragon raises its head above the water.
This being consists of pure magic.
It is glowing blue and indigo.
And undulates through the water like a snake.
Sometimes above.
Sometimes below the surface.
Its body is supple and powerful.
But it makes no sound.
The fairies follow his movements,
Like a wreath of lights above the lake.
You watch breathlessly.
Then,
Suddenly,
It is over.
The water dragon shakes his head once more and looks at you briefly.
His gaze feels like a glimpse into another realm.
One where the currents of magic are so powerful that a simple elf could never truly fathom them.
The dragon dies beneath the surface.
You feel shaken to your core for a second.
But then,
A quiet,
Deep respect washes over you for everything that lives here.
The fairies fly towards each other,
Share a hug and then slowly disperse again.
You know you are privileged to have seen this.
And let yourself sink against the rock for a moment.
However,
You still have a task to complete.
Eventually you get up and continue your way through the forest.
There are narrow paths you could follow,
But you feel the urge to go where the forest invites you to go.
You step between the trunks,
Moving gently past some bushes.
And then follow a small game trail.
A rabbit family nibbling on some grass looks up in surprise.
But they are not afraid of the elves,
From whom they have nothing to fear.
You smile and walk calmly past them.
A little while later,
You come by another beautiful forest giant.
Not as old and grand as Alderaan.
But certainly an awe-inspiring old tree.
You briefly place your hands upon its bark.
And then continue your journey.
The landscape grows a bit wilder here,
With large boulders strewn around.
A small waterfall cascades down a rock face.
You pass a pool where a wild cat is drinking.
Midges dance above the water,
Just visible in the moonlight.
And frogs offer their songs.
You greet all these living beings,
Each of them a part of the web of life.
Nearby is a cave.
A place that draws you in.
Yet at the same time symbolizes a great mystery.
You find your way between moss-covered stones and small pine trees taking root among them.
It is cooler here,
Between the rocks,
Where the sun barely reaches.
A little further ahead you see a large dark hollow.
Emitting a beautiful soft light.
As soon as you stand before the entrance,
You see that the vast space is filled with crystals.
On the ground,
On the ceiling and coating the walls.
A deep sense of reference fills you.
And you slowly step inside.
This cave is,
As far as you can comprehend,
Connected to the heart of the cosmos.
Cosmic light is captured by the crystals.
And spread across the earth,
Through the ground and the roots of the trees.
At the same time,
The crystals send the energy of the forest back into the cosmos.
Even you,
As guardian of the forest,
Do not fully understand all that takes place within this cave.
It is a profound mystery.
But you know that you do not need to understand everything.
Slowly you walk further into the cave,
Where the crystals radiate their light,
Flowing over you in soft shades of blue,
Red,
Yellow and every other color.
You feel safe.
Cradled.
And absorbed into cosmic energy.
With your hand,
You gently brush against a large,
Shimmering crystal.
Images of galaxies,
Of moons and gas clouds flash through your mind.
Alongside the feeling of sand beneath your feet.
Leaves brushing your skin.
And the gleam of water come to mind.
A deep sense of connection fills you.
And you know You are right where you belong.
The crystals react to you as well.
Where your fingers touch the crystal.
It glows a deep green.
Followed by a soft,
Harmonious hum.
Other crystals begin to hum as well.
And softly you hem along.
For a long time you enjoy this feeling of being part of the crystal cave.
It feels magical.
Yet also deeply connected to the Earth.
You don't come here often.
It's something that's not meant for elves and other creatures to experience regularly.
That much you understand.
You thank this extraordinary cave.
And decide to continue your journey now.
Heading towards your own village.
Still thinking about what you have seen and heard,
You walk on in silence.
Your journey takes you back to your village,
Ellurian.
It is a small community,
With elegant wooden houses nestled under the trees.
Late in the evening,
Only a few lights are still on inside,
Here and there.
Soft music drifts towards you.
You avoid the village square and walk past the houses to the other side of the village,
Where the temple stands.
The temple is built of wood,
With pillars shaped like tree trunks.
The flat roof is open in the center,
Allowing rain to fall inside.
The wood is beautifully carved.
In the middle of the temple.
Beneath the opening in the roof.
There is a large basin full of water.
Which also contains plants.
Vines grow up along the pillars.
It is essentially a temple centered around nature.
Altars stand in each cardinal direction.
One for earth,
With gemstones and ordinary stones.
One for the wind,
Where a wind chime provides some sound.
There is an altar in the south,
Dedicated to fire with a fireball.
And finally,
An altar for water.
The large basin immediately catches the attention,
As an impressive pillar of golden energy rises up right from its center.
This swirling column is the heart of all energy streams flowing through the Amberfall forest,
Coming together at this very spot.
It reaches up through the open roof and is visible from afar.
To the elves.
This light represents the life force of all living beings and of the Amberful Forest itself.
It is also where the spirit of the forest resides.
You arrive at this beautiful nature temple.
Your people love coming here to pray,
To connect,
To heal,
To celebrate festivals and to hold rituals.
For instance,
Seasonal rituals are held here.
In winter,
When the trees have shed their leaves and snow is piled high against the tree trunks,
A meditative silence prevails and the elves focus on rest and turning inward.
It is a time for tending to the roots of the trees and plants,
And strengthening the energies.
In summer,
When it is wonderfully warm.
There is a celebration of pure exuberance.
Music fills the temple.
The elves dance late into the night.
And they enjoy all the goodness that life in the forest has to offer.
The temple is the center of the elven community.
Anyone wishing for a good conversation comes here.
And there is always someone to talk to.
Anyone seeking to attune to the presence of the forest spirit can come to meditate.
It is a peaceful place where everyone is welcome,
No matter who you are or what stage of life you are in.
You maintain the temple.
And ensure that everything there is clean and harmonious.
The temple is the heart of the village.
And a center of power in the forest.
Energy flows converge here.
And you can feel this as a whirlwind of energy and magic.
It is an impressive place that commands respect.
You walk up a small staircase and enter the temple.
The light is soft and radiant,
From magical light and the beautiful light column.
Plants grow in baskets on the walls,
In the water and in pots everywhere.
You stand for a moment,
Soak in the silence,
So that you can ground yourself.
Then you quietly get to work.
You water all the plants and tend to the four altars.
At the fire altar,
You ensure the fire has sufficient magical fuel.
In the water basin.
You check if the water is still crystal clear.
This is quiet,
Meditative work.
A calming ritual that grounds your soul.
Sometimes elves pass by to pray briefly or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the temple.
But the later it gets,
The quieter it becomes.
You sweep the floor with a broom.
But then your work is done.
You feel the fatigue in your body.
It is time to retreat to your hut.
But you want to take in the peaceful atmosphere of the temple for a moment longer.
There are cushions along the basin and you sit down.
The silence of the late evening envelops you and you feel your body and mind relax.
There is no more peaceful place to be found than the beautiful nature temple of Illyrian.
You'll focus your gaze on the golden energy rising from the water basin.
The energy swirls and gently undulates.
It is magnificent to behold.
Before you'll retreat to your hut.
You want to take a moment to communicate with the spirit of the woods.
The Spirit is present,
Always and everywhere.
But in the temple it is easiest to connect with it.
You clear your mind and let your thoughts flow away.
Words of gratitude arise in you,
Feelings of reference for life itself.
Your wish to serve the forest.
It arises and you let it go again.
The golden column of light begins to spark and swish softly,
And the energy radiates brighter.
You see movement,
And a form seems to emerge.
A face,
Old as the world itself.
With eyes shining full of love and wisdom.
Sometimes branches and leaves seem to form around the head.
Then the face ripples like water.
The spirit of the woods speaks to the elves,
But not in words.
It takes the form of images,
Flashes of insight and emotions.
You sit still,
Your eyes fixed on the spirit.
And you open yourself up to whatever message the higher being will send.
Guardian of the forest.
Your devotion runs deep.
But you can only nourish the forest if your wellspring is rich and full.
Rest.
Heal yourself.
That is just as essential to the stream of life as caring for others.
You do not hear this message in these exact words.
But you understand what the Spirit wants to tell you.
It's true.
You pour your entire soul into your work.
Caring for the temple,
Healing trees and restoring energy currents.
But you must also take care of yourself.
You thank the spirit of the woods,
The endless spirit that dwells in the trees and plants of this forest.
The apparition remains visible for a moment longer.
Then slowly dissolves into the beautiful column of light.
The temple is once again enveloped in soft golden light.
It reflects in the basin and gently ripples across the floors and walls.
You feel blessed that you have seen the Spirit and let the message sink in for a moment.
But it is getting later.
And it's time to go home.
You also live in Illyrian.
But a little outside the village in a small hut beneath tall trees.
You get up,
Stretch your muscles.
And check once more that everything in the temple is in order.
There is nothing left to do.
And you slowly descend the few steps to the path through the village.
It's now quiet and dark in Ellurian.
All the elves are sleeping or chatting quietly in their cozy living rooms.
You pass a few shops shrouded in darkness.
Small houses and a school.
Illyrian is a small village with only a few hundred inhabitants,
Like all elven villages.
There is much diversity along the different towns.
Here,
Houses are built on the ground.
But you also know of towns where the elves like to live high in the trees and where they use narrow spiral staircases or hand-driven elevators to reach their homes.
Just like the mages of Amberfold Academy,
The elves can communicate with one another,
Using magic.
This way they always stay informed.
About what is happening in other parts of the forest.
You turn onto a narrow path that leads back into the forest.
It's pitch black.
But you could find this path even blindfolded.
Furthermore,
Elves can still see in almost complete darkness.
And you see enough to find your way.
Not much later,
You see your little house,
Built close against a tree.
It is a simple dwelling.
One room with a bed,
A fireplace and a dining table.
You open the door,
Step inside and light a lantern.
Although the cottage is simple,
You keep everything neat.
All that you need is there,
And everything is beautifully finished and sturdy.
On the mantelpiece are preciously crafted woodcarving figurines that you made yourself.
A deer,
A tree with a dryad,
And a fox and a fairy.
A magical painting hangs on the wall,
Created by a good friend,
A teacher at the Magical Academy.
The magic causes the painting to always move gently.
You see a landscape where clouds calmly float through the air,
And a unicorn stands by a tree.
The animal shakes its mane and tail,
And grazes on the grass.
Along the other wall stands a wooden desk with a few books.
And some sheets of paper on it.
You pull the chair back and sit down.
You feel like reading a poem.
To take in the beauty of the words,
So that you can fall asleep.
With beautiful thoughts later.
You take a poetry book from the shelf.
Written by your favorite poet,
The elf Faderel Sanon.
You read the poem slowly.
And with your full attention.
It is called The Elven Dream.
Living high among the boughs.
In the tree that guards you now.
Cooling shade enfolds your day.
Where dappled light and shadows play.
Life moves gently.
Calm and slow.
Gentle beings dance and flow with a sudden gust of wind.
In quiet nooks where secrets stay,
They search for wisdom on their way.
Living free in nature's land.
The elven dream in a tree so grand.
Embrace a trunk.
Feel rugged bark.
An elven life beneath canopy's arch.
For a moment you remain silent and let the words sink in.
This poem captures exactly how you feel when walking through the forest.
You sigh and acknowledge that it is time to go to sleep.
You stand up.
Put the chair back.
And walk through the room to the bed.
With a handmade wool blanket in your favorite colors upon it.
The window near your bed is slightly ajar,
But you open it all the way.
The fresh night air,
Rich with green scents,
Streams in.
A scent of leaves,
Plants,
Moist earth and moss.
You stand by the window for a moment,
Breathing deeply and calmly in and out.
Your feet on the wooden floor connect with the earth.
The peace of the forest enters your little house with the soft breeze.
And you feel your soul coming to rest.
Your eyes are already growing heavy with sleep.
You quickly shed your clothes and slip into a simple nightgown.
Then you crawl under the blanket.
Lying on your back,
You can look up through the open window.
Where the branches of the trees stretch out above your cottage.
Deep shadows hang between the boughs,
Where the moonlight can barely reach.
You'll hear the leaves rustling softly,
The wind whispering through the treetops.
The ancient trees are like faithful guardians,
Always there for you.
As guardian of the forest,
You are never alone.
Even in the silence of your cozy hut,
You know that the creatures of the forest are there.
The energy of Elderron,
The forest giant,
And the fairies are with you.
These are invisible bonds that sustain you.
You'll feel safe and peaceful and surrender yourself to the life stream of the forest.
As you lie there,
You feel the gentle night breeze brush across your face through the open window.
You allow your breathing to match the rhythm of the rustling leaves outside.
You're breathing deeply.
Feel the cool forest air flow through your nose.
All the way down into your belly.
And you breathe out slowly.
Letting go of all the images of your journey through the forest today.
In and out again.
With every exhale,
You grow a little heavier.
Feeling your body,
Surrender to the rest.
Your feet having walked the paths of Amberfall all day.
Can now completely relax.
You feel the tension flow away from your heels and your toes.
They grow heavy and warm beneath the blankets.
Your spine relaxes,
As if you feel the support of an old,
Trusted oak against your back.
You let your shoulders sink down deeply.
Your arms rest quietly beside you,
Your hands relaxed.
Perhaps you still feel the memory of the rough park you touched today.
But now your fingers are soft and still.
The boundaries of your hut and the boundaries of the forest slowly merge into one another.
You are the guardian of the forest.
But now it's time to rest.
There is nothing left that asks your attention.
Only the rhythm of your breath.
Only the coolness on your skin.
Only the deep,
Gentle sleep of Amberfall.
You know that the night guardians are nearby as well.
Yenigo and the others are now taking over your watch.
The stardust they scatter through the forest,
Shimmers high in the trees.
You are safe.
Your body feels wonderfully happy.
It no longer needs to move.
Fairy lights drift by like little pearls of light among the trees.
The wind whispers.
Magical currents ripple through the night.
Keep your eyes slowly closed.
Surrounded by a peaceful darkness.
You can let everything go.
Surrender.
And let your soul dance with water dragons,
Nymphs.
And mist spirits.
You Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching.
You I hope this is good.
This is good.
Thank you.
