Welcome to Driftweaver,
Where we guide you on a short,
Wonderful and relaxing journey.
A trip where we supply the sounds and you build its world around you.
So sit back and relax.
Take a few deep breaths and let your mind and body drift.
You grab your bicycle and push it out of the house.
Throw in your backpack on,
You jump on your bike and start to push off in the direction of the time.
It's early Saturday morning and the traffic is light.
You hear the distant sound of an airplane that climbs high into the vast blue sky.
You've arrived at the beach,
So you chain your bike up to a small tree.
The beach is deserted other than a few dog walkers and the weather is calm with a gentle sea breeze.
It is high tide so you change into your bathing suit and leave your bag on the seawall.
You walk across the small stretch of beach and into the cool water.
After a few steps you're already into the deeper water so you push off into a smooth swimming stroke.
There is not one single thought in your head.
You are simply controlling your breath while gently moving forward.
After a while you open your eyes and are surprised to see that you have almost reached the floating wooden platform.
Climbing up you lie down on your back to catch your breath.
You squint through the gaps of your fingers to see the ever-present flock of seagulls circling above you.
Sitting up now you look back towards the beach.
The beachfront shops that were closed before are now starting to open their doors for the day.
You decide to return so you push off back into the water.
But this time you lie on your back and gently paddle toward the beach.
You gaze up to the sky and past the seagulls as you notice the lingering white-clotted trail of the plane you'd seen earlier.
And for a brief moment you imagine yourself on that plane on your way to some far-flung destination.
As you walk out of the water you notice the receding tide line marked clearly in the sun.
Drying yourself off you put your clothes back on.
You leave your bike where it is as you want to go to the library across the road before you return home.
As you enter the library you hear the soft hum of the air conditioning and are thankful for the cooler air.
It is an old library with large church-like windows and a high ceiling ringed with three levels of tightly packed books.
The book you are looking for is on the third level so you head towards the wide-sparled staircase.
You find the correct aisle and start to thumb through the books until you find what you need.
It is a heavy book and very old so you are careful when taking it out from the shelf.
You carry it over to one of the large wooden tables and begin to flick through the heavy pages slowly until you find the pages you're looking for.
You notice a distinct yet subtle smell that only these type of books give off.
A mix of old leather,
Dust and a few other things that you can't quite place.
It is however a pleasant smell and one that pleases you.
The books on the third floor are for reference only and are not allowed to be taken out.
So you head towards the photocopier to copy the pages that you need.
You go down to the next floor to find a few more books that you want to take out.
You bring them to the librarian who scans and stamps them.
And you put them in your bag.
As you unchain your bag you notice the beach is much busier now as more and more people arrive to make the most of the beautiful weather.
The waves have got bigger too.
Perfect for the surfers who are now paddling out to meet them.
You jump on your bike and head back towards home.
