Come to a seat or simply lay down comfortably and start bringing all of your mind's attention and your sensorial awareness to your body.
Check in gently,
How are you feeling right now?
What is tense,
What is tight,
Might be achy.
Enter the ground of your body without judging,
Without trying to control it,
Without suppressing it.
Simply enter your body now.
Feel your breath,
Where it moves,
Where maybe it struggles a little bit,
Where it expands,
Where it settles.
And from where in the body it leaves.
Simply follow the breath a few more rounds in and out,
Settling into the body.
And once you're comfortably or a little more at ease established in your body,
Open your listening out.
And start capturing sounds around.
Maybe the most obvious ones come from your close distance in the room or environment you are physically in.
Maybe the sounds are already those coming from this guided space infused with singing birds around.
Human made sounds in the near or the far.
Maybe subtle wind passing by.
And more obviously the sound of my voice.
Like a bumblebee flying from flower to flower.
Explore the variety,
The array,
The beautiful spectrum of sounds.
Close by,
Far,
Clear or subtle.
Let yourself receive the sound one and another and another,
Some more distinct than others.
And maybe some coming together as a melody.
Invite a seed of deeper relaxation into your body and let it grow.
As you become more and more present with sounds around.
Cozier and cozier into your body.
You might start perceiving inner sounds within the gradients of sounds that come and go.
Maybe the sound of your breath.
Maybe the sound or the sensing of your heart pulsating.
Maybe the gargling of your belly if you are hungry.
As you become more and more present with the soundscape.
You might start connecting to how your body perceives,
Receives,
Allows the sounds to flow through.
Certain sounds may be coming from one direction and touching you from that direction.
Others may feel flowing within and out.
Others may linger a little bit more in the realm of your sensorial body.
Your natural tendency might be to prefer certain sounds rather than others.
But here and now can you be open and welcoming any and all sounds equally.
No resistance,
No preference.
Let's now return to the boundaries of the body,
To the sensations running through the skin.
The sensation of breath inside the body expanding on the inhale.
Relaxing and receding on the exhale.
And you may now start gently moving the body wherever it feels like moving.
Re-entering the world,
The environment,
The space and time that you function in and through within a regular day.
Thank you for joining me for this short practice.
Hope you enjoyed and that you'll return as needed to revisit this space that we just shared.
