Thank you so much for choosing.
To find your seat and meditate this morning.
I'd like to begin just to allow yourself a moment or two to arrive.
Arriving into your seat,
Arriving into this moment.
And if you can,
Just use your breath.
Nothing more,
But to.
.
.
Drop into the natural rhythm.
Noticing the inhale and the exhale.
You breathe in,
Just allow the lungs to fill up with air.
And as you exhale,
Just give yourself permission to let go.
Shifting from thinking And the feeling is the first step of tuning in to our intuition.
So simply notice how your body moves around your breath.
Notice as you Rest your hands gently on the top of the lap.
Or if you'd like,
Maybe a hand on the heart.
In the hand of the abdomen.
Finding that rhythm,
That flow of life.
Breathing in,
Just knowing you're breathing in.
And breathing out.
Letting go.
Allow the shoulders to soften,
Relax your jaw.
In this moment,
Simply notice.
You are.
You are present.
You have chosen to give yourself this space.
I'd like to begin.
Each meditation with a quote,
Just as a way to focus our intention or guide our energy throughout the practice.
Time for this.
Meditation on Intuition.
I'll share.
A quote from the poet.
Rainer Maria Rilke.
Was said.
Be patient toward all that is unsolved.
In your heart.
Be patient.
Toward all.
That is unsolved.
In your heart.
And perhaps intuition begins there,
In that space.
With that choice not of solving.
Not with certainty.
There's patience to listen.
So difficult it is.
Even in my own life.
Recently.
I had a decision.
It wasn't life or death.
I had time to take.
I'm sorry.
The conditions,
The situation,
As it were.
10.
A little bit of intuition encouraged me to wait.
And I got swept up.
Swept up in the pace of my day.
And the choices of ignoring my intuition.
And so I forged something that didn't need to be forged.
As I mentioned,
It wasn't life or death,
But afterwards I could reflect and see.
If I had only waited just a few days,
Things could have been materially different in that time.
Situation.
So maybe it's worth acknowledging that listening to our intuition is not always easy.
And perhaps there was a time when you trusted a feeling.
Or followed an instinct.
Or simply believed you knew in your gut what to do.
And for whatever.
Circumstances.
Things maybe didn't turn out the way.
.
.
You'd hoped.
And that can lead to disappointment.
It takes a strong practice to.
.
.
Be met with conditions we.
Don't hope for that we didn't expect.
And to step back and observe.
Without being swept up by the emotion of frustration or disappointment.
It's natural to have those feelings.
Especially if we.
.
.
Blame ourselves for going in the wrong direction.
Sometimes we can even go further in to internalize that choice.
Begin to identify.
And this is a misidentification.
Even harder when trust is involved.
I,
Myself,
Am my own worst critic.
So trusting my intuition.
Sometimes is a wrestling match.
And maybe what felt like intuition turned out to be.
Subconscious fear.
Or even hope.
It may be most often habit.
Being completely honest.
Let's get in the routine.
And you're caught up in the pace.
Experiences like these can teach us to become cautious,
Maybe over-guarded.
We can begin to doubt ourselves.
Or maybe.
.
.
Maybe stop listening altogether.
Just constantly questioning.
Caution isn't.
Necessarily a problem.
We don't have to make it a binary choice between blindly trusting every inner feeling.
Or ignoring our inner life completely.
We can listen.
We can notice.
And if we can remain curious.
About what emerges.
Question.
Can enter quietly.
And imposing.
Just noticing what is asking.
For my attention.
Without the need to answer.
Simply find.
That space for grace.
The grace to allow.
Whatever it is to.
.
.
Be seen.
To be heard.
What is asking for my attention?
Maybe it's a sensation in the body,
Maybe a tightening,
An openness even,
A hesitation.
Or maybe a sense of ease,
Of peace.
Or maybe.
.
.
A thought.
Keeps chasing us,
Returning.
Or maybe it's something you just can't quite explain.
So we practice,
We practice allowing that space for.
All of those things to be present,
Now deciding.
Without judging what it means.
Associating emotion or value to it,
Just noticing.
Sometimes intuition doesn't have to arrive.
As a voice.
Maybe it's just that gut feeling.
Drawing us to.
Let's take another look.
And as we look,
Just notice how quickly the mind may want to begin to create a story anxious to move back to that space of homeostasis.
What the mind perceives as identity and balance and comfort zone.
Instead,
Just choose to wait.
Just a little longer.
Maybe a few more.
Cycles of breath.
Simply noticing the inhale.
Feeling the difference.
With your exhale.
Intuition may offer.
Direction.
Maybe a possibility.
It's a simple,
Quiet signal.
Rarely is there proof.
If it were so,
We could all invest in the stock market and make.
Millions of dollars.
Or maybe.
.
.
The benefits of intuition are.
Much greater rewards.
The richness of union with our heart and mind.
So perhaps a better question is,
Can I honor what I sense without insisting that it must be true?
The rest in that.
Is long.
As you can.
And come back to it.
As often as you can.
If you ever feel like you're losing yourself,
Losing your intention.
Disconnected from your intuition.
Let's come back to your seat.
Feel the ground.
Beneath you.
Allow yourself.
Is to sit a little taller.
Pull your shoulders back.
And notice.
Your breath.
See you in hell.
The Axial.
Intuition.
Remains.
Remains present in the moment.
So each time you return,
Allow yourself.
In the greatest sense of Courage is to allow yourself to be willingly vulnerable.
To find that space where you can sit.
Breathe.
Allow yourself to bring to mind something in your life that has been.
Quietly asking for your attention.
Just curious enough to investigate.
Maybe not even investigate,
Just do.
Receive it.
Still listen.
Then return to the breath.
Each breath buying space and time.
To simply be.
To rest.
To rest in that stillness that you create.
No need to rush.
Who need the force.
No need for doubt.
Simply recognizing those qualities in you that are asking for your attention.
Let's share one more full cycle of breath.
Is the deepest breath in.
Feeling the lungs expand.
Allowing yourself to savor the breath at the top.
Slowly exhale.
Feeling that natural vibration.
In the back of the throat.
And continue.
As often.
As you can.
Thank you so much for choosing to share this space,
For choosing to give yourself this space.
It's with all my love,
With all my gratitude.
Namaste.
