Hello,
Good morning,
Good afternoon,
Or good evening.
Please make yourself comfortable,
Either sitting or laying down.
You can have your eyes closed or a soft gaze open.
As you are here,
Find a more conscious breathing pattern.
Take a moment to bring your awareness into your body.
Notice if anything is tense,
And if it is,
Put a conscious breath there to soften it.
Notice what is floating around in your mind.
Acknowledge it and let it pass.
Take a deep breath,
And on your exhale,
Breathe downwards towards your belly.
Take your next breath in,
And on your next breath out,
Breathe downwards towards the root of your body.
Breathe in,
And with your next breath out,
Breathe downwards,
An arm's length into the earth.
Feel your body and your mind anchored into this moment.
Keep breathing in a natural way,
And stay present to your body's sensations.
As you contemplate the concepts you are about to hear.
Life force.
We each have this individual life force,
And we also have a collective life force.
When it is whole,
Our life force is full of vitality.
It's full of adventure,
Joy,
Passion,
Creativity,
Healthy boundaries,
Freedom,
Stillness,
And calmness.
It has balance,
Confidence,
And most of all,
It is all-knowing.
Our life force keeps us moving forward,
Wanting growth,
In the work to heal,
And it is always in the sheer possibility for humanity.
Our life force is unafraid to shine.
It's unafraid to be,
Or live.
It's unafraid to make mistakes,
And it is unafraid to exist.
Our life force stands in its existence in this world.
It doesn't just believe it has a place in this world.
It is the place in this world.
It doesn't just believe it has a voice.
It is voice.
It knows it deserves to be here just like any other.
It deserves to be here not because it was earned,
Because it knows that without us,
The world would be incomplete.
Sometimes our life force is sensitive,
And it can grow tired and weary.
It can become depleted and run down.
It can feel a little lost or a little uncertain,
Depending on what's going on around us or what we have unconsciously or consciously allowed ourselves to get caught up in.
It sometimes becomes too hard,
And other times it's too soft.
It's sensitive because it has developed some holes along the way.
Some of these holes are so deep and tender,
We can't even see them.
When we help and help and give and give,
And yet we don't allow ourselves to receive,
To replenish the constant giving,
Our life force can feel depleted when we suppress our emotions,
Suppress our voice,
Suppress our ideas,
Or suppress our opinions.
Our life force is affected when we block our opportunities,
When we take no risks,
When we've lost faith,
Lost trust,
Or when we get caught up in other people's drama.
Our life force is affected when we ignore our gut instincts,
When we reject or bypass the compliments someone genuinely gave us,
When we don't ask for help,
Or when we're too agreeable because the pain of conflict is unbearable,
When we hide,
When we don't hear a human voice or feel human touch,
When we don't collaborate or work together to find our communities,
When we are afraid of others,
Or when we're alone too much,
And especially when we lose sight of the fact that we are tapped into something so much greater than this earthly experience.
We humans are so much more connected than our intellectual minds like to think.
It's undeniable.
It is the way.
We are connected on a visceral,
Neurological,
Emotional,
Physical,
And very electrical level.
The interaction with even one other human in our day can make or break our life force balance.
And day after day,
It can accumulate.
Our brains,
Bodies,
Minds,
And emotions are not separate from each other.
So we can feel this depletion in all sorts of ways.
So how do we strengthen this life force so that it is not always weighing in the balance?
We have felt its presence before.
We have felt its vitality.
How do we stay in the course so that it's not so easily swept off its feet?
We need authentic connection with like-minded people.
We need to allow ourselves to be supported by others.
We need movement,
Music,
And laughter.
We need to talk,
To speak up,
To express how we feel,
Vulnerably,
Even though it might be scary.
We need to sit with ourselves in quiet stillness,
Even though it might be uncomfortable.
We need to cry in a way that moves stuff up and out.
We need to listen to what our body's sensations are trying to say.
We need felt and real experienced rest.
We need hugs,
Hugs with our bodies touching,
Breathing in and out as one.
We need to intentionally tap into source daily.
We need nature,
And animals,
And sunshine,
And fresh air,
And being in the presence of children.
Children have a life force that we can learn from.
And we need this,
This right now.
You're doing it right now.
You're tending to your life force right now.
You wouldn't be here listening if there was not a part of you that loved you so much.
And that part of you that loves you so much wants you to so very badly exist in this world.
And so for all of those times your life force has been weakened and darkened,
Felt small,
Felt alone,
And maybe even pondered its purpose here,
Please place both of your hands over your heart space.
Reconnect with your body,
Your heartbeat,
And your breath.
Repeat these words after me,
Either in your mind or out loud.
I am wanted.
I am valued.
I am loved.
I belong.
I am a contribution.
And I am a force in this life.
Now take a deep breath in and allow the vitality to deeply enter your life force.
