Often, the mind moves through the day on autopilot — naming, comparing, predicting, remembering. We assume we already know what’s here. We relate to this breath as “just another breath,” this room as “the same room,” this body as “the usual body.” But what if this moment has never happened before? Because it hasn’t. No breath is ever repeated. No sensation is exactly the same. No sound arrives twice. In this practice, we’re not trying to make anything special happen. We’re simply experimenting with meeting experience as if for the first time — with the curiosity of someone who has just arrived.
