Lektion 1
Sleep As A Divine Being The Deserved Honour And Reverence
This lesson is to expand your relationship with sleep beyond a fundamental biological need. Sleep is one of the three pillars of health according to the colossal body of knowledge known as Ayurveda: The Science of Life. Thus, sleep is the foundation of every physical organ, system and cell, a pillar for all mental processes, and a consciousness state to connect with spiritual realms.
Learn Ayurveda’s three pillars of health and shift your deserving power from conventional sleep to regenerative sleep.
Access wisdom to understand what actually is proper healthy sleep, and what does the most rejuvenative sleep that YOU can access look like. You deserve the best, but you have to expect it, and you have to claim it.
In the following lesson, you will learn about why when you sleep, is what really matters.
Lektion 2
When You Sleep Is What Matters
It is NOT about how many hours you sleep, but WHEN you sleep.
This knowledge talk teaches you about the different elements, energies and biological mechanisms that manifest and that are active at different times of the night.
You will gain greater self-awareness about the best times to sleep, what parts of your body are regenerating according to the time of night, all which will help improve your sleep and self-honour.
This is ancient Ayurvedic science 101, known for millennia, but interestingly, has been very similarly proven in the recent 2017 Nobel prize for medicine: awarded for research in “Circadian Medicine”.
Following, lesson three will address two specific and crucial bedroom environmental factors for optimal sleep: darkness and ventilation.
Lektion 3
Darkness And Ventilation In The Bedroom
This lesson you will learn easy-to-implement, small tweaks to refine for your bedroom, which will have a significant impact on optimising your sleep.
How to attune electronic devices and the subtle lights and the curtains/blinds and windows of your bedroom to improve melatonin production (the “king of hormones” that has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect).
In the following lesson, we will explore in detail the all pervading hormone: Melatonin.
Lektion 4
Optimising Melatonin
Explore natural ways to boost melatonin for improved sleep in this lesson.
Discover light exposure tips, lifestyle adjustments and the direct interaction between light and your hormones.
Increase your self-awareness of nature’s rhythms to align with your own human rhythms. Reduce stress and enhance sleep, based on the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and the 2017 medicine nobel prize winner.
In the following lesson, we will explore a subtle yet extremely prevalent environmental factor for sleep hygiene: Electromagnetic fields.
Lektion 5
Sleep Hygiene: Electromagnetic Fields
In this lesson, you will learn about a subtle yet extremely influential factor on sleep and overall health: the frequencies coming from electro-magnetic fields (EMF).
Learn how to modify the software and physical location of your electronic devices in order to mitigate harmful impacts from non-native electro-magnetic fields (nnEMF).
Learn grounding techniques to help neutralise the inflammatory ions that manifest in the body from these nnEMF.
The science shared in this lesson is taught by some of today's brilliant minds in medicine, Dr Dietrich Klinghardt and neurosurgeon Dr Jack Kruse, as well as basic principles of physics.
In the next lesson, we will explore principles and energetic fields of Vedic architecture: architecture according to the laws of nature, which are very simple foundations of proper sleep, yet are hardly considered by most health practitioners and people in general.
Lektion 6
The Architecture & Energetics of Sleep
Explore the impact of head positioning on health and sleep. Delve into clinical experiences, magnetic forces, and Vedic architecture.
Gain insights through clinical anecdotes, Vedic principles, and magnetic force explanations. Explore varied head positions and their effects on sleep.
Enhance well-being by understanding optimal sleep positions, reducing brain fog, headaches, and improving sleep quality. Foster self-awareness of your body's magnetic dynamics.
In gratitude to Vedic architecture principles, known as “vāstu”, enjoy these insights from ancient wisdom and scientific observations.
In the following lesson, understand the crucial role digestion plays in regenerative sleep.
Lektion 7
Healthy Digestion For Regenerative Sleep
Your digestion is co-dependently interlinked with sleep, especially your evening meal and digestive state.
Through diet recommendations based on principles of Ayurvedic nutrition, learn how to promote “light and energetic” digestion so that your body can direct your biological attention towards regenerative sleep, rather than having to attend to a gut experiencing heaviness and indigestion.
This lesson will help improve your energy levels, sleep, digestion and even make your food taste better.
In the following lesson, you will learn a kitchen-remedy for a tonic drink that will help you sleep like a baby.
Lektion 8
Bed-Time Milk Elixir
This lesson contains the “bones” for a sleep inducing hot-milk recipe that will help you sleep like a baby.
This recipe, to be drunk 20-40 minutes before sleep, is adaptable to your dietary requirements and preferences utilising simple spices and food items you may have at home.
A scientific review on “Milk derived bioactive peptides and their impact on human health” by D.P. Mohanty et al showed how milk can be helpful in more restful sleep nad overall calmness.
In the following lesson, you will learn a sleep-inducing self-massage to perform right before you sleep.
Lektion 9
Sleep Inducing Self-Massage
This lesson teaches a traditional Ayurvedic sleep-inducing self-massage to do before sleep.
Listen to this audio guide while you nourish yourself with this 5-7 minute head-and-feet massage.
According to the classical teachings on Ayurvedic body-treatments, this massage helps you fall asleep quickly and promotes a deep sleep that prolongs for the while night.
The following lesson contains a guided yoga technique to do in times of stress, troubles falling asleep or wakefulness during the night.
Lektion 10
Conclusion & Wrap Up + Technique For Overwhelming Sleep Challenges & Deep Stress
This lesson begins with a wrap up of this course, summarising what we learnt and how to move forward and be self-sufficient with your own sleep practices and sleep optimisation.
The lesson ends with a sensory yoga practice to help fall into a deep sleep. This is especially helpful for those who experience an over-active mind and wakefulness while lying in bed, trying to fall asleep.
Drop self-judgment of your sleep “imperfections”, befriend wake-fullness and embody this yoga-sleep practice to use anytime you need.
