Lektion 1
The Mechanics Of Walking Meditation
This is an experiential lesson for you to practice walking meditation indoors.
It includes a short sequence with commentary for preparing yourself to walk mindfully and how to get the most out of it by bringing detailed attention to how your feet make contact and lift off from the ground. It also explores the idea that walking meditation isn’t always slow and why speeding up your walk can help you to energise your body and de-escalate anger on the occasions it might arise.
Lektion 2
Morning Walking Meditation In Nature
In lesson two, you take what you have learned of walking meditation outdoors. This might be as part of your existing morning walk or something new that you purposely create time for.
This lesson explores why walking in nature in the morning is particularly nourishing and introduces you to a method which combines walking with the rhythm of your in-and-out breathing. It is an exercise that invigorates your nervous system on your in-breaths, while you enjoy the Nature around you, and relaxes it on your out-breaths, as you feel your feet connect to the Earth again.
Lektion 3
Enhancing Your Morning Walking Meditations
In lesson three you learn two further approaches to your walking meditation inspired by much loved walking meditation master Thich Nhat Hanh. These will warm up your heart of gratitude and teach you how to use his much loved gatha - I am home, I have arrived.
The lesson will conclude with some practical tips on how to weave mindful walking into ordinary, everyday life.
