Lektion 1
Some Mindful BackGround
In this track, we will look into the history of mindfulness, the benefits (most of which are well-known) and some of the adverse effects of mindfulness (most of which I would be surprised if people were aware of them). Some of these could be increased emotional detachment. Who knew? There is a concept of right and wrong mindfulness that may also be unknown to most people. What is it? How can we distinguish the two? Check it out in this track!
Lektion 2
The Brain Explained
The brain is the most expensive organ in the body regarding oxygen and calories, so it tries to optimize as much as possible. It hates the deliberate thinking and prefers the known. In this track we discuss the idea of the brain as a muscle and by practicing our responses, we create a better insulated neural pathway.
Lektion 3
Activity 1 - Deconstruction
In this track we discuss the first phase of using mindfulness to bring empowerment to your life: being mindful to identify patterns. We can do this by initially deconstructing ourselves, our concepts, etc.
We realize we have been on autopilot for ages and that we will never be perfectly ready to start.
We discuss ideas about using mindfulness as a means of raising awareness of our issues.
Lektion 4
Activity 2 - Prime
In this track we deep dive into the idea of priming the brain to choose a different response to how we would automatically react to a particular circumstance. By running through the motions outside of the moment, be it after or before the moment, it means we grease the neurological groove. In doing this, we increase the probability that this can occur in the moments we desire, and eventually are able to do so!
Lektion 5
Achieving Mindlessness
In this track we discuss the concept of automating a response, so that it requires zero mindfulness out of us, allowing us to use our extra energy to be directed at creating flourishes to the moment, be adaptable if we need to be, and generally leading us to the ultimate goal in all of this: more fulfillment!
