Lektion 1
Introduction: Setting The Compass
In this opening lesson, Eilís shares the intention and structure of the course, rooted in her own journey from burnout, anxiety, and overwhelm to greater calm, clarity, and contentment through mindfulness. You’ll learn why daily practice matters, and how mindfulness is built gradually through simple, repeatable practices. This lesson invites you to reflect on what has brought you here, clarify your personal intention, and begin the journey with openness, curiosity, and self-compassion.
Lektion 2
Ways To Awareness
In this lesson, you’ll explore what mindfulness is and how it is practiced, both as a formal meditation and as a way of living. You’ll learn how to build attention through simple daily practice, choose a supportive anchor such as the breath, body, or sounds, and gently work with thoughts, sensations, impulses, and emotions as they arise. This lesson lays the foundation for bringing more awareness, kindness, and calm into everyday life.
Lektion 3
The Guide Posts
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to work skillfully with thoughts, often the most challenging aspect of mindfulness practice. You’ll be introduced to techniques such as mental noting, helping you relate to thoughts with more distance and less reactivity, rather than taking them as facts. This lesson also explores how perception and interpretation shape our experience, dispels common myths about mindfulness, and introduces the foundational attitudes that support a more compassionate, spacious, and resilient way of living.
Lektion 4
Practicing The Pause
This lesson explores how mindfulness helps us recognise the judging mind and create a pause between stimulus and response. You’ll learn how to relate differently to pleasant and unpleasant experiences, cultivating less attachment, less avoidance, and more choice. The lesson also introduces “human being mode” — a slower, more embodied, values-led way of living — inviting greater presence, compassion, and freedom in everyday life.
Lektion 5
Being In The Body
In this lesson, you’ll explore the body’s stress response and learn why being in the body is essential for regulating the nervous system. Using simple, practical tools such as conscious breathing, movement, and posture, you’ll discover how to move from fight-flight-freeze into a calmer, balanced state. This lesson highlights the powerful mind–body connection and how mindful awareness of the body can support wiser choices, emotional resilience, and overall well-being.
Lektion 6
Keep Kind In Mind
This lesson focuses on our mental and emotional relationship with stress and introduces self-compassion as a powerful mindfulness skill. You’ll explore how habitual patterns such as rumination, self-criticism, and avoidance can intensify suffering, and learn a simple ABC approach to meeting stress with awareness, breath, and curiosity. Drawing on mindfulness principles and self-compassion research, this lesson invites a kinder, more supportive way of responding to life’s challenges.
Lektion 7
Compassion & Companions
This lesson explores how mindfulness and self-compassion deepen our relationships with others. You’ll learn how presence, kind self-talk, and emotional awareness support more authentic listening and communication, especially during difficult conversations. Through practical guidance on mindful listening, boundaries, and compassionate responding, this lesson shows how tending to ourselves first allows us to meet others with greater clarity, calm, and care.
Lektion 8
It's All Up To You!
This final lesson invites you to integrate mindfulness into everyday life by regularly checking in with your intention, attention, and attitude. Through reflection and practical exercises, you’ll explore how you relate to your time, energy, activities, and self-care, identifying what nourishes and what depletes you. This lesson encourages conscious choice, balance, and ongoing self-responsibility in creating a life that supports wellbeing, ease, and aliveness.
Lektion 9
The Journey Ahead
This closing lesson reflects on the journey you’ve taken through the course and looks ahead to how mindfulness can be sustained in daily life. It weaves together key themes such as intention, awareness, compassion, embodiment, and energy management, reminding you that what you practice grows stronger over time. This lesson encourages gentle, consistent practice and offers reassurance and support as you continue your mindful journey beyond the course.
