Daoism is an ancient Chinese philosophy that gives an understanding of the Universe as a unity which is the Dao. The Dao or "the Way" is the principle we should follow to live a happy and peaceful life. So how can we live according to the Dao ? What actions can we implement in our life to feel good and in harmony with the world ? Our modern world always pushes us to be more, to do more, making us believe that we are not enough. Daoism tells us the opposite : we are enough; we just need to learn how to let go.

What is the Dao ? How can we define it ? What is the interest of the Daoist philosophy ? This episode will help you understand the Dao and the way Daoism understands our Universe as well as our place in the world.

The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. The first principle to living the Dao and becoming wise is to "Become Childlike", that means reconnecting to our inner child to find true wisdom.

Lesson 3 : Humble The Ego
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is to "Humble the ego". What that means is that following the Dao means getting rid of our inflated ego and becoming humble.

Lesson 4 : Change Yourself Before Changing The World
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is "Change Yourself Before Changing The World". We have to become the change we want to see in the world. Before trying to control others, we have to control ourselves.

Lesson 5 : Be Like Water
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is to "Be like water" (Bruce Lee). The element of water is the strongest one in Daoism. Water is soft yet strong so it always finds its way through obstacles.

Lesson 6 : Avoid Force
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is to "Avoid Force". Force, be it mentally or physically, should never be the answer. We cannot force reality and nature because they follow the Dao. Either we follow the Dao and live happy or we try to force things and become miserable.

Lesson 7 : Moderation Is Wisdom
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is to "Moderation is Wisdom". The Dao nurtures everything, only by living a life of moderation and avoiding excess can we live according to the Dao.

The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is to "Quiet Your Mind". Quietting the mind opens us to the mystery of the Dao.

Lesson 9 : Don't Fear Death
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is "Don't Fear Death". The fear of death is the reason for most of our fears but we will understand that death is not to be feared according to the Dao.

Lesson 10 : Non-Action Is The Highest Form Of Action
The Daoist philosophy is a philosophy for life. Not one that should stay in books. Today's lesson will focus on one principle of living according to the Dao, which is "Non-Action Is The Highest Form Of Action". We will go deeper into the meaning of "wu wei" and non-doing.
