Since the modern way of life has separated the majority of us from nature and our natural state, we need certain tools that will help us reconnect with our inner being and Mother Nature. Simple mindfulness techniques involve both the mind and the body, helping you in letting go and slowly getting back to a state of peace and tranquility. In order to do this, it is not required to have a forest, a river, or a mountain in the close nearby; there are infinite different options, the only limitation is our imagination. Whatever you're doing during the day may transform into your mindfulness ritual. It is essential to step outside of the familiar routine and approaching everyday tasks with a curious eye as if you were performing them for the first time. Focusing on the joyful aspects of life rather than the negative ones allows us to appreciate the small things in life. It involves developing gratitude for the little things, that are so simple to overlook, or take for granted. Since people at the sunset of their lives often end up cherishing little things the most. Therefore, the simple things in life are what matter most. Those little moments of happiness, love, and connection are what give life meaning, even though we often focus on the big achievements and milestones.

Homecoming
Let's face it: a major part of life consists of the ordinary activities we perform on a daily basis. Most of them are activities we perform automatically. This indicates, that although we are physically there in the situation as it happens, our thoughts are not. Our consciousness and thoughts exist in a different space and time - and, as a result, we lose awareness of the magic that exists in Now. We have no need to learn anything new; simply reconnecting to the present moment means returning to our natural state and the great natural wholeness to which we belong. It's like coming home after a long journey.

Me Time
We rarely take time for ourselves since we are constantly dealing with the challenges of daily life. The last thing we want to do is take on extra responsibilities on top of our already hectic schedules. Making enough time for self-care can seem like a difficult task. Because, we believe that it would be selfish to set aside time for yourself since we don't have enough time because there is soo much to do. In reality, we may contribute to others more and minimize our risk of burnout if we can achieve balance and take care of ourselves with love. Imagine what it would be like to decide to do something nice for yourself every day?

Since the dawn of time, people have always enjoyed telling and hearing stories. There is a remarkable quote from the book The Storytelling Animal: How Stories Make Us Human. “We are, as a species, addicted to story. Even when the body goes to sleep, the mind stays up all night, telling itself stories.”

Laughing With The Universe
According to studies on humor-based interventions - Writing down three amusing things that happened throughout the day (or counting them and evaluating all of them at night) for one week, may decrease symptoms of depression and improve well-being for up to six months. Studies show that laughing actually improves our physical health, linking laughter to positive changes in heart rate, blood pressure and muscle tension. Additionally, studies indicate that humor enhances our interactions with one another and is associated with higher levels of happiness at work and in personal relationships.
