However, when we cling to "rocks" in the river—fixed beliefs, worries, or expectations—we resist its natural flow. Through the metaphor of a flowing river, I share a personal story about letting go of a business I had run for over a decade. My identity was deeply tied to it, and I struggled with thoughts of failure and fear of letting others down. It wasn’t until I released my grip on these rigid thoughts that clarity emerged. Once I stopped swimming upstream and trusted the river’s flow, a simple and obvious idea surfaced—one that had been invisible to me while I was holding on to old thinking. This lesson invites you to reflect on the thoughts you might be clinging to and how letting go can open the door to creativity, flow, and new possibilities. By understanding that thoughts are transient and not fixed truths, you can reset your perspective and reduce mental struggle. When I cleared the "dust" from my mental mirror, I realized that creating value and receiving compensation for it could coexist—and that clarity allowed me to move forward with confidence and purpose. This lesson invites you to reflect on how your own "dusty mirror" may be distorting your view of situations or relationships and how clearing it can lead to greater compassion, clarity, and understanding.

Through the metaphor of the bamboo tree, I share a personal story about navigating a particularly difficult year filled with health issues, financial struggles, and family conflicts. At times, I felt overwhelmed by the storm of circumstances. But instead of trying to control everything or resist what was happening, I leaned into the deeper wisdom of Mind. This trust didn’t make the challenges disappear, but it gave me the strength and flexibility to navigate them without breaking under pressure. This lesson invites you to reflect on how you can connect with this deeper intelligence and trust in its guidance during difficult times. By recognizing that resilience comes from within—not from external circumstances—you can approach life’s storms with greater ease and confidence.
