Grounding Strategies
There are many ways to ground yourself and in this lesson I am going to describe many different grounding techniques. These are tools that can support you through your healing journey. You will be able to launch into the technique that works best for you next time you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed or dissociate and come back to the present moment feeling connected with your mind and body.

Grounding Meditation
This last lesson is a powerful meditation if you feel that you are often disconnected from your thoughts, feelings, memories, and surroundings or you may forget things or have gaps in your memory. You may think the physical world isn't real or that you aren't real. Meditation encourages you to pay attention to your thoughts and feelings without passing judgment or criticizing yourself, instead you can notice and accept them, then let them go. In this way, meditation can help disrupt cycles and patterns of negative thinking. This practice can assist to break depressive states, by pulling you away from intrusive thoughts or feelings by grounding you, to feel stable, mindful, calm, safe and bringing your awareness back in the here and now.
